We arrived late so the restaurant was closed. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator but there was a wide staircase to walk up.
Our room was beautiful. It seemed to have been recently renovated. Two TVs, a small kitchenette area with sink, and a walk-out to the indoor balcony area above the bar and pool.
We quickly went to bed and immediately were frustrated with all the "light noise." Between the AC unit, TVs, microwave, and fancy mirror on the wall, there were numerous lights. Additionally, the curtains didn't cover the light coming in the balcony window, and the main door didn't reach to the floor so light came in from those areas as well. It was extremely distracting. The mirror was the worst with multiple bright blue buttons. It was positioned near another mirror so at night it appeared like there were 6 bright blue lights. I really don't believe people ever spend the night in their own hotels.
The bathroom looked gorgeous but had some weird quirks....
The sink area had no counter space - only big enough for the sink. The towels were huge and fluffy, which was lovely! But there were only 2 of them. Standard would be 4 towels, even in a room with 2 people. The shower was designed with a built-in bench seat on one end, but it appeared to have no drainage so the water just pooled on top of it. The floor in the shower felt like it hadn't been properly grouted; my husband and I agreed that it hurt our feet.
Breakfast was stellar, better than most!
