The Nest on Saratoga Lake

"This was our second visit and is truly a lovely little place to stay. Love the communal coffee & snacks, rooms are a good size (bathrooms too), and the bed has ample pillows (a necessity for my snoring husband) & are comfy. You also get a complimentary drink at the downstairs bar! Only complaint is that there are only 3 designated parking spots out front for those staying in the rooms, which seems like poor planning since there are more than 3 rooms."

"The room was average, definitely could have been cleaner with a full compliment of bar soap, etc. The staff on the hotel end were peasant and cordial. The breakfast was terrible! the buffet was in some cases cold (I.e. scrambled eggs), luke warm (I.. sausage, bacon), tomato juice watered down, french toast cold and the price for this $23 down from $26 because I am a senior. Stewart's across the street on Sunday morning had a hot sausage & egg breakfast sandwich with a blueberry muffin for just over $8. The bar food Friday evening was okay, however draft beer for $8 that was not nice and cold does not cut it in my mind. I get the Holiday Inn takes advantage of the big crowds in Saratoga because of the horse racing, but that highly inflated price does not reflect well on what I received back. Not very happy!"

"Nice place! Friendly helpful staff! Delicious breakfast and offerings, pleasantly delighted with that when we woke up! Would come back, but the photos seem nicer online though! Only real issue was no full length mirror, its crucial!!!"

"We had a great stay. The rooms were very clean and well equipped for our family. Breakfast was excellent — simple, fresh, and perfect for a quick start to the day, with plenty of coffee. The bathrooms were spotless, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. For the price we paid, this is honestly the best value. The gym was also clean, organized, and well maintained. Highly recommended"

"Elegant classic style hotel. Attentive staff. Small annoyances, bulb was out in my tea daunt lamp. No bathroom ammeneties beyond the basics. I’m used to tooth brush kit, shaving kit etc at this price. I sent my boots down to be shined in the evening. They promised them back by 11:00 AM. Didn’t happen. I finally called to enquire and it hadn’t been handled. If I was informed I would have handled it in my own. May or may not return next year may try Batcheller Mansion"
