Great place and location, attentive service, tasty breakfast. Rooms are a bit tired, water pressure issues at times (but easily resolved). A great place to stay when passing through!

The location of this property is lovely but a bit of the beaten track. It does feel like it starting to get a bit tired but also has loads of character. The evening meal was excellent and the breakfast was very good. Did have a wonderful nights sleep.

This is a hard review to write fairly. I loved the location and the vibe of the hotel, and it was full of Highland character and interest. It has huge potential to be a luxury lodge hotel but has become tired and worn. There has been some attempt to upgrade the bedrooms with a very good bed and decent shower but other elements are out dated, worn or damaged. During our visit the hotel was seriously short of staff but those there worked hard to make our stay a success and the food in the restaurant was excellent. In short we had a good stay but I couldn’t recommend it unreservedly.

Absolutely loved this hidden gem. It was a bit far off the path but absolutely worth it. Staff was lovely and the food was so good. We had a huge tub in our room and the bathroom had heated floors.

We had an overnight stop at this hotel because we couldnt find accommodation closer to the NC 500 due to inflated cost/availability. The Alnaharra Hotel was very nicely situated although it was well off the beaten track for us. We had the Teal & Blue bedroom which was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was extra, but very nice when it eventually arrived having waited an hour for it to be served. I think maybe the hotel was short staffed.

Staff were excellent, food and breakfast good but the property itself is a bit tired and could do with a refresh. Cobwebs in the room.
