I liked the location and the ability to step outside and be in the countryside. Room was quite nice but cold and some signs of wear and tear. Dinner was average and breakfast good. Atmosphere very quiet and not very welcoming.

Superbra frukost och middag!! Hade varit värt att åka dit bara för maten! Väldigt trevlig och bra personal! Mycket vackert läge med utsikt mot berg och sjö. Rymlig parkering precis utanför boendet, mycket smidigt. Skulle absolut rekommendera!!

This hotel is located in a remote stunningly beautiful location. The staff we met named Angelo and Ria were charming friendly and efficient. We enjoyed Breakfast and Dinner, the food was nicely presented and very tasty. Our bedroom and bathroom were pleasant, bed comfortable, but in my opinion could benefit from some updating. Someone suggested to me that the hotel reminded them of being straight out of an Agatha Christie novel -I must say it struck a chord with me! Recommended.

I don’t want to be too negative, as we really did enjoy our stay and the staff was lovely, but I don’t think they should use the word “luxury” when describing the room: the tub casing was cracked and the bathroom floor was in poor condition. There were other issues as well. But we slept and ate well, and don’t regret staying there. Just drove the word “luxury” please!

Since the TV show 'A River Somewhere' in 1997 I have wanted to visit this hotel! For that reason I loved it. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, parking is plentiful and the scenery magnificent. Lochs are all around with a real history of successful catches! However, I was incredibly sad to see this historic hotel, in this stunning scenery struggling in these current times. Having been a popular resort since 1886 I feel it should be supported and resurrected into 'the place to go' once again. I don't understand why the Scots aren't clambering to reignite a passion for a place with such history in such a unique situation. It's a place where you really can switch off from the world and reconnect with nature. I would recommend to everyone to visit, take your time, drive carefully, look around and someone, for goodness sake, come up with a way to keep this landmark alive!

Love this B&B

Lovely B&B. Had a fire and alot of seating in main area. Food is AMAZING for dinner and breakfast. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom. I have stayed here before and will again!

Room clean, pretty basic, bathroom very poorly designed with nowhere to store washbag. No extractor fan so completely steamed up after showering. Entry door to room had faulty lock which could easily have left you locked out of room. Can't belive management hadn't noticed it. Dangerous rug right in front of open fire in the bar lounge with curled up edges, real trip hazard. Food pretty good. Hotel itself is totally isolated, although we did know that before booking.
