A nice park, we didn't have much time to explore but we did see the area where local restaurants and families cook meals in pots deposited in underground ovens that are cooked by the heat of the earth over several hours

Popular places to visit

I love it when I find natural frames like this one, shot from inside a cave at Parque Terra Nostra in Furnas, São Miguel. The beautiful garden is built over a massive 10 hectares and it would be quite easy to spend the best part of a day here. There are walking trails, waterfalls, and a massive amount of plants and flowers to photograph and enjoy.
