"Nice hotel overall, right at the heart of Bastogne.
A real negative for me was the lack of ANY British TV channels.....everything but !
Bordering on disrespectful, I would say, considering the UK's involvement in the freedom of Belgium over two World Wars. Must have been us leaving Europe...previous hotel in Leuven had BBC 1 & 2 !!
Also the hotel restaurant is closed on a Monday, and I think Tuesday, but the Bistro next door is open on a Tuesday ( or vice versa)
Breakfast is nice though, and essential as nowhere is open on a Monday.
Instructions for the in-room safe are poor, to the point where none of my group got it right !!"
"The room was clean and the staff were polite. The door lock kept alarming when we walked out of the room so the staff said slam the door…then it alarmed when opening the door. The WiFi isn’t great. You need a reservation to eat, which we didn’t know. We couldn’t eat at the property and there is nothing that is a reasonable walk. The property was pretty and quiet."
"This place was a dream come true. It is the kind of place everyone needs to experience at least once in their lives. The chateau was so comfortable and charming and swimming in the spa pool was such a unique experience. I loved learning the history of the property and seeing the wells that have been there forever. The breakfast had so many delicious choices that I wish I could have stayed another day. Finally the cellar bar was so delightful, I had an amazing time sipping cocktails and enjoying a game of chess with my travel partner. Everyone was so kind to us and we really enjoyed our visit. I recommend this place 100%."
"Gorgeous hotel! The rooms are large and modern. The hotel was well designed with modern touches, its brand new. The pool was great for our kids and they even had a small area for the kids to play in which was a great added touch and we really appreciated that. The best hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Europe !"
"Really nice hotel. Stayed for only one night but had food and drink in the restaurant. Order burgers but steaks came out, staff were very helpful to rectify the order. The desert ordered however took an age to come out.
Minor issue with the plug in the sink being broken and the temperature was warm and the room lacked Air con so it was a warm night.
All in all though it was a positive and I would stay again."
"The staff was wonderful and helpful. Beautiful setting and perfect location for our travels. We dined at the hotel restaurant where both the food and the service were excellent!"
