"I was disappointed with my stay at Hotel La Jolla. We booked a specific room in advance, but upon arrival we were told it was unavailable and were placed in a room with one king bed and a rolled-in temporary bed instead. That was very frustrating and not what we paid for.
I do want to acknowledge that the receptionist was kind and genuinely tried to help us. The manager was initially dismissive, which made the situation more upsetting. To their credit, they did move us into the correct room the following day, and that helped somewhat.
Unfortunately, the experience still affected the enjoyment of our trip. When guests reserve a specific room, they expect the hotel to honor that reservation from the start. I appreciate that the issue was eventually corrected, but I wish it had been handled more professionally from the beginning."
