"The property is beautiful and spotless! It's a perfect location, right on the beach. It has a restaurant, room service, pool, hot tub, game area, and a workout room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Staff will set up chairs and an umbrella for you right on the beach. It has a nice area to eat with multiple options about three blocks away. It's perfect to walk. The only downside is parking at the hotel is $45 a night, which is very high. However, if you're willing to walk, drive around and find free parking. I would definitely recommend this resort."

Cormorant Boutique Hotel

"Overall, this is a great hotel to stay at in La Jolla. It’s a prime location in the village. Everything is walkable ballet was convenient and quick. The room was small, with an awkward angled entrance at the bathroom door. The view from our room was perfect. I did find the bed to be a little bit uncomfortable. We also found it hard to regulate the temperature. With the air conditioner off, it was quite warm in the room. But with the oscillating air air-conditioning unit on, it was immediately ice cold and freezing. We were also on the third floor with the restaurant right above us. The chairs from the restaurant scraping on the floor above creating very loud noises right after closing. We assumed it was from the restaurant staff cleaning up after closing. Overall, though, I would stay there again. The location and service were both great."

6/10 Okay

"Room was clean. Beds were comfy and staff was helpful. HOWEVER, the level of construction going on was intense, and not restful. I am sure it will be great when they are finished, but I question their rates and also the wisdom of their decision to keep the rooms open during what amounts to a complete rebuild of most of their building (at least the one we were in). They were literally tearing up tje tile in our hallway as we were checking out and demoing on tje other side of the wall from us. I probably would think twice about booking there for as long as the "construction" lasts. There are plenty of nice places in the area."
