Our hosts Cheryl and Allan were fantastic and couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome.nothing was too much trouble `they took time to recommend things to do and even chauffeured us to places of interest and restaurants as we didn’t have a car .

Wonderful hotel at the foot of Africa

Wonderful stay in a beautiful location with wonderful hosts in Allen and Sheryll. Great spot, right beside the ocean and lots of wonderful tips from a lovely couple. If you want to stay at the southernmost tip of Africa this is a great place to do it.

Staff were very nicc and helpful . Gave us my partner some stomach upset OTC medication when I mentioned he was not feeling great. It worked. Breakfast was great. Only negative was could not get the TV streaming to work. Admittedly we did not inquire with the staff as it was not that important. Overall an excellent experience at the Penguino.

A friendly and comfortable guesthouse.

We received a wonderful welcome and then things got even better. A lovely room with a delightful balcony overlooking the mountain covered with fynbos and home to a vast amount of different birds. The breakfast was superb. Everywhere was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Alan and Sheryl were the perfect hosts. We would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay with great hosts

Cute little guesthouse, great place to discover the Southernmost point in Africa. Hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, even prior to our arrival. When we arrived they gave us a rundown of all major attractions and restaurants in the area. Small breakfast buffet and freshly prepared hot breakfast. Room was huge with plenty of space. Could not have been happier with our decision to stay here.

Our experience here was defined by a level of personalized hospitality that you simply won't find at a standard hotel. Highlights of Our Stay: • Warmest Welcome: From the moment we arrived, owners Sheryl and Allan were incredibly gracious hosts. We were welcomed with a delicious cup of coffee, and in a wonderful gesture, they upgraded our room at the last minute to one with a stunning ocean view. • Tasteful Comfort: The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and felt very comfortable and inviting. It’s clear that a lot of heart has gone into the design of the space. • Peaceful Grounds: The garden is an absolute sanctuary. It is so peaceful, featuring a lovely Koi pond that adds to the tranquil atmosphere of the property. • Prime Location: It is perfectly situated for anyone wanting to explore the southernmost tip of Africa. The convenience made our sightseeing effortless. • Delicious Dining: Breakfast was expertly prepared and delicious—the perfect fuel for a day of exploring the coast. Beyond the beautiful amenities, it was the personalized experience and the genuine kindness of Sheryl and Allan that made our stay so special. The Agulhas Ocean House was situated steps from the Indian Ocean; our room and deck overlooked the water. The accommodations were clean and well appointed, and the owners were both helpful and friendly. It's a beautiful part of the world that I would love to visit again.

Lovely location just across road from Agulhas bay, with a good view across the shoreline. Also within easy reach of places of interest and good local restaurants. Our hosts were very welcoming (including a cuppa on arrival) and they gave us great tips on what to visit/see nearby and also for our onward trip to Capetown. Breakfast was really good and our room was nice & clean. We would be happy to stay there again and would try to book a room with a view of the bay if we could

Sheryl & Allan are the perfect hosts

The Ocean House is a lovely sea facing property around 1.5km from Agulhas. What really sets this property apart from others that we have stayed in was the welcome we received from the ever attentive Sheryl & Allan. They are genuinely nice hosts who made us feel ever so welcome throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was high quality, freshly cooked and generous and everything felt to be a nice relaxed experience. We were made to feel like family members and if we return to Agulhas in the future without doubt we would stay again at the Ocean House.

We did not actually stay because we had sent a message to the owners requesting comung a day early and never heard back from them. So we drove by location and it looked okay. I would have to question ocean views as there was big tall shrubs directly across the street betwween the house and ocean not sure if you could see ocean maybe from second floor
