It's quite convenient for taking 10-15 minutes only from airport to hotel. The host and hostess are nice and kind. However, the floor drainage system of bathroom got some pb which makes floor wet all night after taking bath.

Great place
We stayed for one night and we are glad we stayed here. The layout and feel of the place is very rustic with nice finishes. The bathroom was modern and quite large. The shower head has good pressure and I was able to fit underneath even at 6'3 (1.9M). Our room had 2 floors, with the bathroom and sitting area on the bottom and bedroom upstairs. The pillows were nice and firm and the bed was labeled as a queen, but it was a king size for sure. The mattress was on the hard side but not uncomfortable. Overall we were very pleased with our room. We did not try the wifi because it will generally be pretty bad. Make sure you have a sim card and a VPN! This is China, you can't rely on wifi anywhere outside of a major city or Western hotel. The staff was very friendly but no one spoke English (not a surprise). With a translator app we figured out everything easily. The breakfast is not Western. We had hard boiled eggs, congee, a few chinese buns and some other stuff. The location is a little weird, you drive through a small village area to get there. It is close to the airport and the shuttle was free and picked us up without a hitch. China tip: Make sure you have WeChat! I called them and since they didn't speak English they added me as a friend and we were able to communicate effectively. They did not respond to messages on Hotels.com but on WeChat it was instant. Again, in China this is not a surprise! If we are in the area we will stay here again for sure!

Hard bed, loud hotel, terrible breakfast
The bed was very hard. There was a thin, useless mattress top on a hard mattress. Not comfortable at all. I woke up with a sore back. The walls are super thin. There was a very loud family in the room next to me. They were up very early making lots of noise. The room under me had the TV on extremely loud. I was unable to sleep past 7 am because of all the noise. The breakfast was absolutely terrible. Only some bland congee, a couple hard boiled eggs and some tasteless bread. No fruit or vegetables. No coffee, no milk, no juice. They didn't even offer water. This place was an absolute disappointment. Do not stay here!

We stayed here twice during transit through Kunming and we felt like we were in a first rate spa like environment. The owners were very accommodating and transported us to and from the airport which only took about 15 min. The gardens were absolutely beautiful! Would definitely come here again.

Beautiful facility. The bed was horrible. The food was not so good to a westerner. The cook kept blowing her nose and did not wash her hands when resuming handing food.

According to your feedback, we have carefully reviewed it, and none of the guests have reported that the quilt is very hard. Amazing people and an amazing place. Probably the best sheets and most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. The only reason we gave it a four star rating was because the breakfast was just OK but that might’ve been because we could not eat the pork noodles. The hosts are very nice and very helpful but speak very little English so bring your translator. There is nothing to do around the hotel in terms of attractions, but we went on a lovely walk through the neighborhood.

Relaxing stay in an authentic, lovely, open place
It was a faboulus stay in an authentic chinese guesthouse, wonderful garden and clean and lovely rooms. The family was very openhearted and friendly, we enjoyed a tee ceremony and a common dinner together. We stayed the whole day in the nice garden, whith lots of little seat groups to relax. We would absolutely recommend this great experience.
