We chose this hotel as wanted to visit the Stone Forest which is easily accessible via local bus.
The hotel itself is really nice and has lots of potential it is very large but appeared sadly quite empty though it was low season. The rooms are very big and bright with large floor to ceiling windows. We had lovely views over the outdoor hot springs area and neighbourhood.
Check in was okay although the staff were unable to speak English and did not seem to have an efficient check in system as seemed unable to locate our booking. We were able to communicate on a basic level using translation applications on our phones and good free wifi access. They were initially insistent that the water park/hot spring area was at an extra cost however agreed to waive our fee as we showed them the hotels.com description which stated it was free. The outdoor hot springs were amazing! Unfortunately two thirds of the area was closed due to maintenance but was still really great and must be truly amazing when the whole place is open, five star spa potential. We had all the outdoor pools to ourselves when we were there which was truly magical. The breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of options although we had to go elsewhere for our evening meal as were unable to communicate with the evening restaurant staff and think maybe the restaurant was closed for some reason. Note, a 500 RMB deposit is required and no local visa/mastercard ATM available.
