Never done a proper cleaning. There's a dead cockroach on the chair, and some plastic bag leftover from previous guests. The towel a bit yellowish, and there're hairs on the bed. They do no provide shampoo, only soup, and it's squeeze type. not soup bar. Hope they can improve on these.

When switched on the air con in room, black particles, big and minute, blown out and stained the bed cover. I had to removed them away.

SS2是华人区，24小时有中国美食，还有麦当劳，酒店出门就有食物。 酒店的桌子有点小，网络有点慢，其他方面都不错，还有员工帮忙提行李。

一分錢 一分貨 要求不高，只是用作休息還好。 記得自備梳洗用品，洗澡用品⋯等等 因為酒店沒有提供⋯ 另外，水機在房外，可供飲用。 不能攜帶太重或太大的行李， 酒店沒有升降機，要自己抬行李上樓梯⋯ 這是我的體驗

The hotel location was good, but the hotel beside was a karaoke so was a bit noise during night time. The smell of cigarettes is very heavy.

Relaxing and affordable room

Good area with wet food market, cafes, small shops as well as banks. However the rooms have no window and quite compact. There's drinking hot n cold water available 24 hours.

Great hotel but noisy room

In the past visits, we always enjoy staying at de Uptown SS2 hotel. However, in the recent visit, we realised there was a cafe (Image Cafe) started at the upper floor of neighbour unit. The cafe runs its disco music way past mid night and if not, we could hear karaoke going on in the unit. While we enjoy the good service and great room of de Uptown, we cannot be pulling our hair every night trying to sleep :(

Good location for dining

Room and toilet are generally small but clean. Not soundproofing , so a bit noisy as you can hear guest walking up or down the stairs and their conversation. Location is great, just opposite the local food centre. Many good restaurants nearby but definitely not a place for shopping.

Noisy, as there is a karaoke bar nearby, and walls are pretty thin. Noise stopped after midnight though. Kinda seedy location

Hotel in a suburban strip mall

I booked the Triple room listed as 20 m2 on hotels.com, but the room was actually only 17 m2. There's plenty to eat around the hotel. There's a strip of bars if you exit the hotel and turn left. There's a Starbucks behind the hotel. There's a 24 hour McDonald's across the park. Plenty of "massage" places as well. Look for places with neon signs of a foot.
