Property was under renovation while I was there but still an excellent stay. And what could be better than right next door to a zoo, an adventure park, and a singing pirate ship that goes right past your room if you get one overlooking the water! I had a great time. The breakfast is also wonderful!
Amazing Hotel, Staff are very friendly and helpful! Next to the Safari Park, I couldn't visit as I was travelling for business so arrived late and left early for the Airport but will definitely visit again. Amazing for families but I felt very comfortable and welcome as a lone traveller. Very Clean.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. The convenience to Dyreparken cannot be beat! We had all of our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel and were not disappointed. The table agreed that that their coffee machine is great! We even had a emergency happen while at the hotel with our two year old getting injured while at the hotel (not the hotel's fault, just an accident) and the hotel staff was amazing! Many people on staff jumped in to help along the way, and two of them even offered to drive me and my son to the emergency room since my husband was away from the hotel at the time. When we got back to the hotel after my son getting a few stitches the dinner staff checked in on us again and made sure everything was okay. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff! Regarding the rooms, they have everything you need. The bunkbed rooms are more fun because they are more themed, but we had no issues with cleanliness, or anything like that. Would definitely recommend staying here, and will be back again again some time in the future.
I had a lovely overnight stay before going to the airport. The desk arranged a taxi for me and everything about the service at the desk and the hotel overall was 10/10
I will be recommending this hotel to all my friends.
Thank you all.
The staff was friendly and quick, but the hotel entrance was hard to find in the dark because it was moved and there inadequate lighting and signage. The room was clean, but it was TINY and had no room for our suitcases. The bed was also and old spring mattress that sagged in the middle. We stayed only one night because it was close to the airport, so it was bearable but I will not return.
Our two nights was fantastic even we received by an impatient personel in reception :) Breakfast was good but we need to pay additional to the expensive room price The place is ideal for those who gonna visit dyreparken and badeland since its only beside the hotel

Kunne kanskje stått at hotellets fasade er under oppussing. Men ellers fint når vi fikk rom mott Dyreparken❤️
Expedia noted this as a hotel close to the Kristiansand airport. They did not mention it was a zoo/pirate themed park. I was travelling for work without my family, so it wasnt a big deal, but this would have been a huge selling point if my kids were in tow.
Great hotel, good buffet restaurant, and it is indeed close to the airport. I hope i can bring my family back to enjoy the park.
The aircondition blew icy wind, and when I went down and asked the persons working there, they tried to reduce the aircondition, but nothing happened.
The room was so cold that I set the stove up to max, that means 30 degrees…..

To be completely honest. I don't think the bunk bed is apropriate and safe for kids above 9 years old. Unless they have a small complexion. My 13 year old had half of his legs out. And I was too afraid for my 8 year old to turn around and fall from the higher bunk bed level in the middle.of the night.
Otherwise I lived the location as you are just next door to Dyreparken entrance and it has its perks. Enjoy the some animals sleep (zebras, ostriches, jirafes, okapies) as they mingle at the yard next to the hotels entrance.
Buffet very accomodating. Restaurant and bar have a nice bive. And souvenir store has lots to offer.
Book in advance and plan to enjoy several days as it is quite Disney style ;)
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. So many kids were running, spanking doors and screaming. w
We could hear reception and the kitchen and everything outside, including what appeared to be a loading dock. People were smoking right outside so we had to close our window but because there was no temperature control we slept with ice. Iasked a our the noise abd they saix there is nothing they can do until 11pm when quiet hours started. The kitchen/ loading dock stayed at 6 am leaving little time to sleep. We used noise canceling headphones but they barely took the edge off the noise At a minimum they should not rent the room we were in but guessing since they didn't offer to move us the entire hotel needs better sound proofing.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Unclean Money Grab
The floor had food crumbs all over it, the sofa was visibly dirty that I wiped it with a towel and the towel turned brown, there was trash bag under the bed, and the bed cover had a ton of lint and hairs on it. I mean, we paid 2700 NOK for one single night, plus 350 NOK per person for dinner plus 200 NOK per person for breakfast. This doesn't include the cost of the actual park (which is expensive, but also fantastic and worth it, in my opinion). But this hotel is a huge money grab and they don't even have the decency to keep their rooms clean in all the overturn. I complained kindly to the front desk and they gave me an email address to write to for an official complaint. I wrote them, no answer, wrote them again, no response. It's disappointing to see that they don't respect their customers enough to even respond. It's too bad because it is obviously an unbeatable location, and with a young kid in Norway, it's a place I would have loved to frequent. At least the parking was free.
