My favorite lodging in Thailand

Krabi Klong Muang Bay View Resort (the full name) is my favorite lodging in Thailand. Mostly due to the two beautiful, kind, caring sisters, Are and Pla (if spellings are correct), who seemed to mostly run the resort, along with their wonderful family and their excellent staff. Everyone was helpful and so nice. I stayed 3 nights but when I return to Thailand I’ll come to Klong Muang just to stay here longer than the first time. The place has a great vibe. The superior double room was large with cool wooden furniture, large balcony overlooking the nice pool. The lights in the room were rather dim and should be remedied in the future. The staff kept the room and the area really clean. The wifi, unfortunately, was virtually inaccessible from the location of my room. The set breakfast offerings were good, but the items on the main menu, including the excellent made-to-order fruit shakes and coffee drinks, were great and reasonably priced, especially for a hotel/resort. The beach can be reached in a couple of minutes by foot, but it’s really rocky in that part. A walk a few minutes on the road until the next access leads to a wide open, empty beach. Or walk over the rocks. 20 minute walk along the beach or the road leads to the town square, where there are more restaurant choices. I’m glad I chose the quieter, slower place of Klong Muang Beach as opposed to Ao Nang or Krabi. I really look forward to staying at this resort again and is the main reason for a return trip there.

Rigtig godt hotel, god pool, god service og god daglig rengøring. Fuldt tilfreds 😎😉 Der er et lille stykke vej til byen, men stranden og diverse små barer/restauranter er tæt på.

Falsches Zimmer in kleinem, netten Hotel

Ein kleines Hotel, das aber mit gr. pool und Strandnähe punkten kann. Leider war in dem Angebot von hotels.com nur 1 Zimmerkategorie angeboten diese zwar sehr preiswert, aber ohne den Hinweis, dass es sich um Zimmer nach hinten zur Baustelle und dadurch nicht zu nutzender Terrasse handelt, sehr oft Baulärm. Wir hätten gerne mit Aufpreis das Zimmer gewechselt, war aber nicht möglich. Einfaches Frühstück, alles sauber und gepflegt,

Ok hotell med ödsligt läge vid trist Beach

Hotellet är i sig ok. Dock märkligt med a/c-aggregatet på balkong/altan vilket förtar det trevliga med att vistas där pga oljud och kondensaten.. Hotellet ligger lugnt dvs i praktiken öde.. Det finns trots detta ingen bar/restaurang på hotellet. Frukoste var dock OK speciellt som den ingick i rumspriset. Hotellet accepterar bara kontanter. Trevlig personal. Stranden som ligger ganska när på andra sidan en lugn landsväg, kan man hävda är ok dock finns bara någon enstaka restaurang, MEN att bada i havet är inte alls trevligt pga väldigt stenig botten! Det sistnämnda ihop med det öde läget gjorde att vi lämnade redan efter en natt trots att vi betalt för sex nätter...

Super fredeligt og smukt område

Anmelde sen er betinget af at man får "Poolroom", idet der bygges til hotellet på bagsiden, hvor udsigten er kedelig. Hotellet ligger i det super fredelige Klong Muang, fantastiske strande, meget få turister pr. Strandmeter, Dog få gode restauranter i området, Chomlee og White Orcid, scooterleje er næsten et must, lej eller lån (Gratis til små ture) på hotellet. Morgenmad lidt tyndbenet!! Super sød familie og stab der driver hotellet. Bemærk at eksempelvis thaimassge og veksling er noget dyrene i Klong Muang in Aonang og Noparatarra Beach, 15 min. på Scooter. Helle og Søren knudsen

Very plesant stay

We enjoyed the stay here, things are all well, my son enjoyed the pool all day, room is clean. The owners family are veey friendly and humble. Thing to improve is the bathroom light is a lil dim for me, brighter light will be good.

Secluded but worth it.

This is in an extremely secluded area. Great for learning to ride a moped. If you don't know how and won't want to learn how to ride a moped, then expect to be going by taxi everywhere. The rooms were very clean, personnel ready to help, and the pool was great. The beach wasn't the best we had seen in Thailand, but other than that the hotel was perfect.

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Hotel.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt. Große Zimmer mit Balkon oder Terrasse. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend. Das Hotel ist sehr abgelegen, am besten ein Roller mieten.

Renovation et entretien indispensables.

Grande chambre humide et assez malodorante. Chantier en face de la chambre. Pas de "bay view". Environs très pauvres et limités, mais plage (vide de monde) accessible à pied à 500 m. Assez décevant en général. Restaurant limité. Véhicule souhaitable.

A lovely stay.

The Bay View is an excellent family run resort. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfasts are excellent. The family couldn’t be more helpful. The location is on a quiet road, very close to the beach but some distance from the shops and restaurants.

Sauberes, familiär geführtes schönes Hotel.

Ein wirklich schönes gepflegtes Hotel. Das Hotel wird wohl von einer Familie geführt. Alle Leute hier sind super nett und freundlich. Das Hotel ist nur ohne Fortbewegungsmittel zu weit von allen Aktivitäten entfernt. Dafür kann man sich aber für 250 Baht (~6 Euro) am Tag einen Roller leihen. Mit diesem haben wir zb so ziemlich jede Sehenswürdigkeit in Krabi abgefahren. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gepflegt. Wirklich empfehlenswert. Als kleinen Kritikpunkt würde ich das extrem harte Bett und die evtl ein bisschen veraltete Klimaanlage aufzählen welche schon etwas länger braucht um das Zimmer zu kühlen. Allerdings für den Preis ein absolut solides Hotel. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt hier.

Away from it all relaxing break

Hotel is owned by a lovely family who made us welcome and were kind and helpful throughout our 4 night stay. Sorry I've only rated room comfort 3 - that is because the bed was rather too firm for us and the the lighting was too dim for reading. A comfortable indoor seat would also have been welcome.

Das Hotel liegt etwas sehr weit ausserhalb, sollte man nur Buchen wenn man mit eigenem Wagen unterwegs ist. Die Familie ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Bei unserem Aufenthalt waren keine weiteren Gäste im Hotel. Essen wurde uns vom Markt besorgt. Waren alle sehr bemüht aber uns war es zu abgelegen. Die Zimmer sind einfach/ok. Das Bad sehr dunkel.
