The perfect stay to visit Brussels

Our experience has been amazing, really friendly and kind. The room is spacious, perfect for couples and/or family. We enjoyed a lot our stay. Also the position is good with a parking, so you can take public transport easily to visit Brussels.

The host of here was great! He’s very kind and caring. The room was cozy and the sunshine was beautiful but there was too much dust in the room. Town around the room is quiet and peaceful.

I needed a place to stay, but i would only arrive late in the night. The contact with the owners was very nice and it was no problem to arrive at a late hour. The room I stayed in was big, clean and nice!

The owner of the house is an honest person and I would visit the place again. Anyone who values honesty will like it. I forgot my wallet and picked it up again after 4 days and everything was still there!

A traditional farmhouse sympatheticly restored with interesting features in our room. Jacuzzi needs instructions. Mezzanine floor needs a safety rail.

It's alright. But you need to know what to expect. This not a bed & breakfast, or hotel or inn, it is a hostel... remotely run. So it is a multi story building with permanent tenants and one temporary stay unit. You have your own bathroom but you share the kitchen with people living there everyday, in a typical... hostel fashion. Meaning not super clean. People are nice and helpful, very nice actually. But the host/landlord, despite the fact they might say they will be onsite to welcome you, actually is apparently never physically present onsite. This means that if anything arises... you're on your own, woth the help of the nice other tenants possibly. I could not figure out how to turn on the bath water for instance because the tap is somewhat unconventional and thankfully the other tenants happened to be arou d and found how to do it, else it would have been "too bad". The room also did not have hand soap, so one would need to climb two floors down after every trip to the toilets... this would easily be fixed, so i suggest fixing it :) Aside from that the room is very nice. No shower only a bath. Not accessible at all if you can't climb steep stairs though, but that is fine by me. Very quiet. Just under the bare roof so in summer it would be likely hell hot, but fortunately a thunderstorm was passing by so temperature was perfect for me. Since it is a hostel there is a full kitchen which you could use, which is nice. Comfortable bed. Room itself was clean.

This is NOT a hotel. This is somebody renting out the attic room in their house. It is highly deceptive to call it a hotel. There are no signs outside, I was sure we were in the wrong place. It took us a while to get in, as I had to go through all the emails to figure out if we were really at the right address and how to get in. No idea if there was anyone else in the house, we didn't see or hear anybody. It was clean, but the bedding had a very strange smell, which was unpleasant. The sink is badly designed, water sprays everywhere when you use it. Our toilet bags had to be kept on the floor at the far end to avoid getting wet, as there are no shelves to put your things on. There is no shower, just a shower head in the spa bath. The cable hole is not sealed, meaning water was running out from under the bath and dripping through the floor boards onto the floor below. Squatting in the bath attempting to have a shower was not comfortable at all. In addition, I was glad not be with small children or my elderly parents, as there is no safety barrier on the mezzanine level and the ladder/stairs are very steep. The coffee & tea looked like an old box of leftovers, just 3 tea bags, none of which were black tea, and 2 cubes of sugar, which I found incredibly stingy. I take 3 sugars in my coffee, and couldn't have a second cup as there wasn't enough sugar. To be fair though, we needed somewhere to sleep to break a long journey and for EUR50, you cannot expect much. It was adequate.

Aanbevolen verblijf. Rustig, net, vriendelijke gastheer. We komen hier waarschijnlijk terug. De frame van het bed piept bij de minste beweging, dus we hebben de matras op de grond gelegd en zo geslapen, geen enkel probleem voor ons.

Eenvoudige accommodatie met een goed bed.

De ontvangst was zeer hartelijk. Comfortabel groot bed, maar door het ijzeren frame piept het wel als je je omdraait. Voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn, is deze kamer niet geschikt. De badkamer is nl. alleen per trapje bereikbaar, douchen kan alleen staand in het bubbelbad, er is geen ophangstang voor de douche en op de slaapkamer zelf is geen wastafel, wel een toilet. Wat wel plezierig was is dat er een Senseo en een waterketel aanwezig was.

Gezellig verblijf

Mooie en grote kamer die rustiek ingericht is, wat ons wel kan bekoren. Als orde en netheid echter bovenaan je lijstje staat is dit misschien niet de ideale match. Hele vriendelijke host, die perfect Nederlands sprak. Er was koffie en thee aanwezig op de kamer en het was er ook muisstil.

Vous arrivez dans une residence plutot agreable avec de jolies maisons, jusqu'a arriver devant la maison des chiens, où vous pensez tomber dans une maison abandonnée, apres plusieurs verification de ladresse et quelques minutes d'hésitation a sortir du véhicule, tanguy nous accueil sur le pas de sa porte plutôt sympathiquement. Au moment de la franchir, gare à votre odorat :/ ( une odeur de renfermer, de bois pourri, et de poussières vous obnubilleras) Les escaliers et les murs sont sales, La chambre etait plutot agreable au premier coup doeil, mais tres vite rattrapée par la vétusté de celle ci ( murs et sols sales, poussieres et toiles un peu partout, bagnoire sale et tres peu voire pas du tout deau chaude, matelas pas confortable). Malgre cela nuit plutôt correcte Au moment du depart 9h30 tanguy nous fait son au revoir en peignoir complément débrayé. Alors je recommande seulement si vous avez besoin d'un toit sur la tete pour une nuit !
