This place was one of four places we stayed that we’d return to. We loved the vibe. We loved meeting peeps of all ages from around the world. We loved the grounds full of Kulu birds, the ocean views and how they knew what we wanted for breakfast. We loved the massages, the Kava ceremony and smell of flowers everywhere. We loved the fresh yellowfin tuna that we fished for and ate in 6 different ways. We loved the Yanuca island snorkeling trip! Vivid blue, pink, yellow and green corals. The beach was nice for a dip at high tide and we loved the pool in the rain. But mostly we loved the Fijian people who work there and the many adventures we shared from BASE FIJI on site at the Beach House.

The vibe was very relaxed and we felt like we were part of the family. The grounds are well kept. The pool didn’t look very enticing but people did use it. It was quite small. We loved all the hammocks at the shoreline. We were really surprised at how shallow the water was. The reef was far away so it took a long time to get to swim-able water. The food was good - think pub food. Happy hour was appreciated everyday. The rooms were clean and the outdoor bathrooms were cool. We would stay again.

The check-in was simple. The rooms were clean and the hotels amenities were nice. They’re offerings from surfing trips to snorkeling and equipment rental all made the process easy. The one thing I was disappointed in, was that even though we didn’t require daily housekeeping, when I did put the sign out for Cleaning…for a few days even… housekeeping never entered.

Great value for the price. Simple breakfast, toast coffee cereal and fruit. Dinner was nice price for two with drinks $25 US. Nice places to lounge near the water. Had an hour message $20 US, very good. Most water sports only at high tide, surfing snorkling kayaking. Best if you have a car and want to eat at other restaurants. But can be done with local buses. Nice common areas, good for kids especially at low tide. Would highly recommend for value.

Vinaka vakalevu for another fabulous stay at our favourite get away on the Coral Coast. Loved the sunset, the hammocks, the live music and the activities at, on and in the crystal clear water. We’ll be back! Sotatale!

Sehr hübsche gepflegte Anlage mit toller relaxter Atmosphäre. Überwiegend jüngere Reisende, aber auch Familien und ein paar ältere Leute. Sehr international, wer mag kommt schnell in Kontakt mit anderen. Pool sehr klein, aber sauber. Es gibt Spiele, Bücher, Tischtennis, Billiard. Essen überwiegend gut. Frühstück wechselhaft. Manchmal gab es Joghurt und frisches Obst, am nächsten Tag dann wieder nicht… Netter Barbereich. Viele Hängematten und Liegestühle im Garten und am Strand. Sehr günstige Massagen vor Ort. Kajaks vorhanden. Hauptsächlich geeignet für Surfer oder zum absoluten Nichtstun 😉 Zum Schwimmen/Baden nur bedingt geeignet, da man sehr stark von den Gezeiten und natürlich vom Wetter abhängig ist… alleine irgendwo hinspazieren geht auch nicht… Ausflüge (Boot, Hiking) kostenpflichtig. Strand teils sehr steinig (bzw. voller Korallenstücke), Badeschuhe empfohlen! Es gibt ein paar sehr süße und liebe Hunde, die zur Anlage gehören. Nur leider gab es dann immer wieder Hundehaufen in der Gartenanlage, die nicht beseitigt wurden… das geht leider gar nicht! Insgesamt aber ein sehr schöner Ort!

When we arrived, the staff went to charge me even though I had already prepaid. There is no close parking to the rooms, which became a concern as my mother struggles with her mobility. There were ants crawling around the single beds in both rooms we hired. When we told the lady she swapped our rooms. It was dark and the lighting was not good so we had to find our own way around. Then settled one lot of our family only to fins the other room was riddled with ants. We had to wait for the staff as reception had closed for her to tell us she could change the sheet if we wanted. The blankets smelled. The toilets were hard to flush. The shower was pretty but hard to get warm. The beach access and pool was good.

Loved it! Superb little beach resort with a relaxed atmosphere, heaps of activities, and fabulous service. Our room was much more luxurious than we expected - a lovely stay.

Stayed in a Frangipani room which was clean and well kept. I did not use housekeeping although we could get them everyday by hanging out a sign. As one person didnt feel the need. The outdoor bathroom was good, water pressure and temperature were good, but I didnt enjoy having to use it at night. Meals were very good with breakfast included daily - yummy scones, fruit, juice coffee, yogurt, cereals. You could buy a cooked breakfast for about $12. Lunches included wraps and burgers and sandwiches - price range $12 - 25 and dinner there were about half a dozen options each night available from 6pm. There is a bar on site and a pool. As an older person with poor balance, I would have appreciated a handrail to access the pool. Consequently I didnt use it. Live music on a saturday night and a mix of older and younger patrons and dorm and individual rooms. Note the frangipani room does not have a fridge. Great tours available through BASE who are based at the accomodation and also an ethical chop/cafe called the projects collective in based on the driveway of the resort.

Don’t go expecting your standard cookie cutter resort experience! Relaxed vibe all round. Friendly staff, clean facilities. Outdoor ensuite bathrooms were great! Different dinner menu each day - with plenty of choice. No need to go off site for meals. Very family friendly. We found it easy to organise activities and getting around was simple. Nearest ATM supermarket 15 min drive up road.
