The staff, the stars of the property go out of their way to quietly welcome the visitor, anticipating and attending to each need without being obtrusive. Meals in the grand dining hall are beautifully laid out and scrumptious. The hotel is located in the historic city’s centre amidst shops and markets. I highly recommend the George as a haven for any traveller who wants a classy yet unpretentious break or base."
