This hotel is highly OVERRATED as a 4-star and not really ready for hosting guests! While the staff made efforts to rectify gaps in service, the management has not equipped them to deliver good quality service. 1. “Confirmed” room unavailability - pre-confirmed and reconfirmed suite was not available and we were put in separate rooms in an older wing under renovation. 2. Check-in nightmare - beyond the room change, the check-in process was very slow and the access keycards provided didn’t work. We were shifted again to two other rooms where the issue continued throughout our stay. 3. Elevator/lift quality and availability - the access areas were blocked with furniture and construction materials with frequent unavailability of the lift, not to mention the dust and noise. 4. WIFI unavailability - totally UNAVAILABLE for most of our stay & we had to escalate the issue multiple times to then be told by the IT guy that there really was no WIFI on the floor area we were moved again to (despite being reassured otherwise). 5. Bathroom condition - poor water pressure in the flush, black silt in the bidet water, no hot water, poor quality towels that left huge amounts of lint 6. Smoking in non-smoking common areas - no compliance by some guests and no enforcement by the management; and we had to repeatedly ask the offenders to stop smoking outside our rooms. This experience erodes trust in the hotel booking process via travel portals.

Good location but Loud noise from lounge bar

The location is very convenient for tourists. However, the hotel has a lounge bar on the ground floor and the the loud noise and music disturbs until mid-night on most of the nights we stayed. The staff offered other rooms which were very small for three to sleep comfortably. Avoid this hotel if you are looking for peaceful stay. The overzealous service staff is always looking forward to tips.

Scarsa pulizia, dietro al New Market.

La struttura si trova in un'area d'interesse storico ed è essa stessa un antico palazzo in stile coloniale, situato a pochi passi dal mercato, in una delle zone più rappresentative e difficili della città. La pulizia lascia molto a desiderare, sia nella stanza, dove è possibile fumare, che nel bagno, da subito non ho avuto buone sensazioni, al tatto ogno cosa sembra essere sporca. L'insonorizzazione è praticamente inesistente.

They gave us a room that was damp and smelled. The room lacked sufficient light. We had better service when we booked for the next 2 days directly from the hotel. We got a better room.

1) The location is good. 2) Comparatively this hotel is better than other hotels in that area. 3) Room service is average, they have carried when called for need. 4) Kitchen is not enough clean & dining room has no sufficient lighting. 5) Rain water flooded in front of the stair that caused discomfort when moving out with a patient.

The hotel I would like to recommend to.

It was really a pleasure that I could stayed at this very beautiful hotel, booked through Hotes.com. I travel a lot, and this hotel fulfills my need very well. Very close to the New Market and other prime places, just a walking distances.The Breakfast was amazing, and so the behavior from the hotel staff.

Have had just a couple of hours at this property. But it seemed to be good. They also packed breakfast for us as we had an early morning flight. Staff are friendly but seemed like a must tip culture amongst the staff.They just barge into the room and wait till you handout some tips.

The hotel was what we expected. Govind the owner and Birrum, Front Office Manager were very helpful. What brought the hotel down was the continuing of staff asking for tips. We understand that tipping is normal in India, however, one can only tip if and when the service being offered is of high quality, sadly the staff need to be better trained to not harass guests for tips.
