Room was outdated and not in great condition. Looked much worse in real life compared to the photos used online. The towels given appeared dirty as was the room. The staff were helpful and the location was great.

I will stay here again. This accommodation suited my needs. Walk a few steps and there is a bar and restaurants in close proximity. Everything you need is so close. The beach at the bottom of the property. Perfect for those learning to dive or on a solo journey.

Location and value!

Upon check in i was disappointed with the room and the sea view blocked by trees. However I grew to really enjoy private little beach out the door, pool and amazing sunset. Also the use of the cliff hotel a few doors down. Hotel has no reception and must checkin at cliff hotel.

*GPS Location is wrong! Check in at Cliff View Simple Life resort* Nice & cheap stay! It's back behind the Cliff View Simple Life resort, which is super nice. So you get most of the amenities and access to the pool and everything as if staying at Cliff View, just a much cheaper, older room. The breakfast buffet is pretty good and only 250 baht. The restaurant seems to have odd hours other than that. They also offer full laundry service for 50 baht a kilo. That was very helpful. Overall I'd definitely stay there again!

Booked a bungalow for 5 nights. The view was great with direct access to small beautiful beach. The place would definitely need some maintenance. Lots of paint chipping on the walls and crumbling pillars on the patio. I was most disappointed by the lack of room service. After third night I had to ask for it and even then they came late. Overall decent value though I guess

Room I was given did not look like the tidy clean room advertised. There were ants throughout the bed linen, ants on desk, main light did not work, air conditioner could no be turned off or temperature changed so room was too cold. Bathroom tap was broken and shower dripped constantly leaving bathroom always wet and damp smelling. Luckly was refunded for cutting my trip short however refund was hard to attain as staff were unhelpful. Only positive was the pool

Good spot for divers on low budget. Simple live divers hub which been excellent. Bungalows need proper rub and area lick of paint .Swimming pool ok mostly occupied By dive courses but you can use next door cliff view resort pool.

Wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay in the standard apartment; we had air con dripping constantly and then moved to a room which was ant infested, smelly and just felt dirty. Thankfully we were moved to a bungalow which was much nicer and we were thankful the staff were understanding. Pool is lovely and location is good.

DON’T recommend

Our booked room had a smell of mould and had ants crawling around in the room. We told the staff, and they told us to have a look at another room. This room had the same issues, with ants crawling around in the room and in the bed. As the staff couldn’t offer us any other rooms currently, they gave us an ant repellent spray that we could use and told us we could come back tomorrow morning and have a look at yet another room. The sink in the bathroom of the second room was about to come off the wall and was partly covered in mould. There was a pair of glasses and pants left in the wardrobe from the previous guest, making us question the cleaning of the room between guests. The noice isolation was bad and a window panel was missing (which they had just covered with drapes). On the next day, we had a look at a third room, which turned out to be free of ants. However, the wardrobe and hangers still had quite a lot of dust and dirt left on them (they obviously don’t clean the rooms properly between guests), the fan was very dirty, and the towels and bed clothes had stains and holes on them. Overall, all the three rooms felt quite dirty. Additionally, the wifi was terrible and some of the staff acted nonchalant. With the amount that we payed for this room we had definately expected a better standard; this was not worth the money! We’ve been traveling for two months by this time, and we’ve payed a lot less money for rooms that had better standard and was noticably cleaner than this.

Tout d'abord, la chambre est énormément petite. C'est un emplacement vraiment bruyantes. Nous entendions la musique du bord et les gens crier. La propreté n'y était pas. La salle de bain n'étais pas lavé et il y avais des croqurelles. Le coût de la chambre est vraiment élevé considérant l'état du bangalow, son emplacement et la prepreté. Nous ne passions que 2 jours a koh tao alors nous avons perdu du temps a rechercher une seconde hotel, car nous n'avons pas resté une seconde nuit.

A group of us arrived together so a bit chaotic at check in. Room was clean, Use of pool at cliff view resort the Talay pool was mainly for divers. Our shower was cold but apparently that’s quite normal. Huge bed that was great. Good location, great being picked up at pier.

Der Pool ist nicht nutzbar, da er sehr klein ist und den ganzen Tag von der Tauchschule benutzt wird. Glucklicherweise kann man den pool von einem anderen hotel mit benutzen. Das Zimmer ist sehr aktive im schlechten Zustand. Die Betten waren dreckig. Wir würden nicht wieder hier übernachten.

Loved the views from our ocean view bungalow. The location of the property was also superb, as it’s not far away from all the action in the evening, but far enough so that you can have a quiet evening at the resort if you wish. Although the rooms weren’t particularly large, our room was an adequate size for our diving holiday. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. Also nice to have a shower with hot water provided. Also, having air conditioning for the room was a god send. Can’t give enough praise to the hotel staff there. To give an example... upon arrival at the resort & checking in. I was to learn that, rooms in the resort are not provided with a kettle to make tea/coffee etc. However, one was provided for me later that day upon my request for the remainder of our stay at no extra cost. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff at Simple Life Divers also deserve a huge mention for making our stay so fantastic! Haydon, Baden, George, Megan, Shak, Jo, Steve, Mike, Lucas, Issey, Zack, The 2 Carl’s, Keiran, Julia, Jeremy, Nicki, Adam, James, Tom....sorry if I’ve missed anyone. Thank you all for making us feel so welcome and adopting us as part of the Simple Life family. Amazing memories, shared with wonderful people in a fantastic location. Making dreams a reality!

The hotel was conveniently located to the beach, local restaurants and other amenities and was also in a great position next to the diving centre. The room had lovely big windows and a partial sea view, however it was located opposite the hotel bar / restaurant / dive centre meeting point so we felt very on show and kept the curtains shut most of the time. Our room was also positioned under a mango tree and we were woken in the early hours every morning by dropping mangos on the steel roof. Either book a sea view bungalow or stay somewhere else nearby.

Well the room was very tiny like there was not even a foot on either side of the bed! There was no chair in the room at all and the ones in the deck were really uncomfortable the bed was really comfortable but other than that was not impressed your room faces the bar so your in a very busy place not relaxing at all! The pool was mainly for diving not really a swimming pool always filled with divers. The beach was tiny but was nice! The dive instructor was really good took time to make sure you understood things.
