I extended my stay at Mango Bay and continued to enjoy the resort as the weather became calmer than the 1st week. As usual, excellent snorkeling and kayaking - typically I had the whole bay to myself in the evenings. Sublime! This is a family run resort, so the longer you stay, the better the the experience. I really found it to be a warm and helpful group of people who genuinely made me feel at home.

This was my 3rd stay at Mango Bay Boutique Resort in the last 12 months, which obviously shows that I love the spot. If you're looking for seclusion and outstanding water activities, this is arguably the best spot on the islabd, if not in the entire Gulf of Thailand. Ocean kayaking in calm waters, excellent snorkeling, particularly on the other side of bay, towards the mouth of the bay. Rose and Chaba Villas on the edge of the property give privacy and incredible views. Nice room layouts, clean and well maintained. Great staff and surprisingly good menu.

Positiv: Traumhafte Lage, Zimmerblick atemberaubend über das Meer und die Mangobay. Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Gratis Schnorchel Equipment für Hotelgäste. Direkt vom Hotel ins Meer zum Schnorcheln einsteigen. Negativ: Teilweise veraltete, teils gefährliche Ausstatung (Nägel stehen hervor, Klos riechen, allgemein müsste erneuert werden). Kaum Verbindung zu Außenwelt, Shop besteht nur aus 3 dürftig gefüllten Regalen mit ein paar Knabbereien und Basis Drogerie-Bedarf). Frühstück ok aber im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels dürftig und zu wenig. Zusammenfassung: Für 1 bis 2 Tage zum Abschalten perfekt geeignet.Aufgrund der abgeschotteten Lage aber nicht für längeren Aufenthalt geeignet. Das Potential dieser tollen Location wird kaum ausgeschöpft. Tipp. Geld mitnehmen, kein ATM, Restaurant geht mit Kreditkarte.

hvis du MÅ hit les først dette!

Vi hadde bestilt for 3 dager men valgte å sjekke ut etter kun 2 netter. Her var det lite trivelig å være. Selve overnattingen, i flott bungalow, var veldig bra. God seng og god sove kvalitet, med stille og rolig område. MEN, det skal sies at det finnes ingen ting annet å skryte av. Dårlig service, ingen tilbud annet enn selve hotellet. Resepsjon og restaurant. Ingen ting annet. SÅ hvis du skal hit så kjøp med deg øl, snacks, vann, solkrem, osv osv før ankomst!! Dårlig service både i resepsjon og restaurant. Veldig avhengig av å treffe de på en god dag tror jeg. Vi reise ikke tilbake og det er synd, for dette kunne vært et paradis.

Weit weg von der Stadt und schwer erreichbar

In der Regenzeit sollte man dieses Hotel nicht buchen. Wir kamen teilweise nicht hin, da es zu stark geregnet hat und je Taxis nicht off Road fahren wollten. Das kostenlose Shuttle was vom Hitel angeboten wurde, hatte bei unseren 6 Tagesaufenthalt 2 mal eine Verspätung von 1-2 Stunden. Das Restaurant des Hotels liegt weit über den durchschnittlichen Preisen, obwohl die Qualität eher unterdurchschnittlich ist. Andere Restauramts gab es nicht. Die Zimmer sind sauber und der Ausblick traumhaft. Leider war vieles durch Regen und Wind sehr zerstört worden. Wir würden eher nicht nochmal kommen.

Amazing secluded getaway

We had a really nice time at Mango bay boutique resort! The staff is friendly, the bay is amazing for swimming and snorkeling and it is incredible to wake up with the sea view. Would definitely recommend!

Smukt beliggende sted.

Alt I alt rigtigt godt, dog meget ødet og uden mange muligheder for at komme hjem fra byen efter kl 15:00, ikke de store aktiveters muligheder ud over svømning i havet og at sejle i plastik kajak. Men når det er sagt så er det et fantastik smukt sted. Er man gang besværet er dette sted ikke en god ide da der feks op til vores hytte var ca 150 trin i meget varieret størrelse og form. Men jeg har kæmpe stor respekt for egejeren som selv har bygget stedet op igennem de sidste 27 år. En rigtig fin fyr fra Italien

Överlag var d väldigt bra, helt grym snorkling d enda minuset var maten helt ok men vi hade önskat mer, vi bodde sex nätter så tröttnade på utbudet! Vi bodde i Rose Villa var kanonfin.

Mukava hotelli jonne on hieno vetäytyä pakoon yleistä hulinaa ja nauttimaan kauniista koralliriutasta suoraan laiturin portailta. Huoneet ovat yleiseen Thaimaalaiseen tasoon nähden hyväkuntoiset ja viihtyisät. Kunhan et odota absoluuttista luksusta et tule pettymään. Kannattaa myös varautua lyhyisiin sänkökatkoihin tai siihen että vesi voi tilapäisesti loppua.

Leider gab es keine Sonnenterrasse während unseres Aufenthaltes, diese wurde vom Sturm abgedeckt. Kann passieren, leider kam vom Chef keinerlei Reaktion auf die Situation und die Unannehmlichkeiten. Wir mussten die Strecke vom Pier zum Resort, (4 Tage) wegen zu starkem Seegangs mit dem Auto fahren. Sehr abenteuerlich! Das Resort liegt traumhaft am Hang mit Felsen und Dschungel. Es gibt von oben nach unten über 500 Treppenstufen. Leider bei Nacht nicht beleuchtet, Taschenlampen gibt es keine. Der Weg vom Restaurant zur Villa ist somit bei Dunkelheit sehr waghalsig. Das Zimmer wird tgl. gereinigt. Der Abfluss unserer Dusche roch leider sehr unangenehm, abdecken half ein bisschen. Für Ruhesuchende und Paare die Zweisamkeit lieben ideal. Tagsüber sind bei ruhiger See Schnorchel- und Tauchboote in der Bucht. Schnorcheln macht Spaß, hatte aufgrund des Wetters leider nur einen Tag die Möglichkeit. Schnorchel und Masken gibt es im Hotel.

Schönes Hotel am Ende der Welt , nix für Party

Hotel schön am Ende der Welt, Service mehr als ok, personal super nett und familiär, null Extras, essen super, nur was für schnorchler, wie bekannt viele Treppen, tagsüber großer Rummel in der Bucht, aber schön zu beobachten, nix für gehbehinderte und kleine Kinder,?unterwasserwelt großartig, alle tauchschulen kommen hier hin. Ein großes Lob an das Personal, wir lieben euch!!!

Utmärk hotell med fantastisk snorkling. Bra restaurang med mycket trevlig personal. Mycket litet utbud av drycker. Inget vin på menyn men ändå satt ägaren och drack vin med några andra gäster offentligt vilket kändes lite irriterande.

Remote but beautiful

We stayed in Mango Bay in Koh Tao in January whilst travelling Thailand. The hotel is beautiful and very well looked after. The staff will help with any questions or queries that you have too. The rooms are almost like tree houses as it is set on the side of the mountain and in the jungle. We stayed in B1 which was lovely and clean and nice and cool on arrival (we needed it after climbing all of the steps!) The steps were a bit too much sometimes so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with any accessibility needs. However the view was beautiful even though we had some trees blocking it. I can only imagine how incredible some of the other rooms were! We only tried the food in the restaurant once as it wasn't to our liking. We had been eating traditional Thai food and when we had a meal there it wasn't great. Only one negative I can point out is that the hotel is extremely remote, which is not made clear upon booking. The access road is pretty much non exsistant (unless you have brilliant motor cross skills) and the only way to get there easily is to get on the taxi boat. The hotel run a good service meaning that you can get to the island or main pier twice a day but the last boat back is 3pm so you are in the hotel in the evening. This is perfect for some people who are there purely to relax but we wanted to explore a little. Overall I would definitely go back as it was beautiful and everyone was so kind and helpful.

Séjour idéal pour une retraite

Le but de notre séjour était la plongée sous -marine. Hors ,cet hotel, qui a beaucoup de potentiel est tellement isolé et ayant un chemin impraticable pour s'y rendre que les taxis refusent de s'y rendre ou chargent 2000 THB ( 80$ CAD). Nous avons dû payer un taxi boat 800THB (30$ CAD) par matin pour se rendre au centre de plongée qui se trouve à 3.5 kms. Pour éviter de payer un autre 800THB au retour , nous devions attendre le taxi boat de l'hôtel qui nous demandait d'être au port pour 15:00 mais qui partait toujours avec 45 min à 1 heure de retard. Nous arrivions à l'hôtel exténués en fin de journée ,on montait les 150 marches pour arriver à notre chambre et on se couchait! Par chance, la chambre est d'un grand confort. Nous avons pu profiter du site seulement la dernière journée ,nous avons fait de la plongée avec tuba devant l'hôtel c'était de toute beauté . Le personnel est très aimable, il a tout fait pour pallier au problème de transport en négociant le tarif de notre taxi boat qui aurait dû être de 1200 THB (45$) . Plusieurs clients se sont plaint et annulaient leur séjour , le dénominateur commun de l'insatisfaction était le peu de navette pour se rendre en ville,le temps d'attente pour la navette, le rapport qualité prix du Resto .

เข้าพักช่วงหยุดวันพ่อ เสียดายมากเป็นช่วงพายุเข้า ฝนเลยตกตลอดตั้งแต่เดินทางไปถึงเกาะ คลื่นลมค่อนข้างแรง เลยไม่มีโอกาสได้ดำน้ำบริเวณรอบที่พัก ทางรีสอร์ทมีเรือมารับ-ส่งที่ท่าเรือแม่หาดทุกวัน เป็นเรือหางยาวลำเล็กๆ คือต้องเตรียมเปียกไว้เลยถ้าคลื่นแรง ลุงคนขับใจดี ประมาณ 20นาทีก็จะถึงท่าเรือหน้าที่พัก เจ้าของรีสอร์ทต้อนรับอย่างเป็นกันเองมาก ไปถึงเข้าเชคอินได้เลย มีอาหารเช้าฟรี อุปกรณ์ดำน้ำฟรี ห้องคือดี วิวสวยมาก มีระเบียงกว้างๆไว้นั่งรับลม ชมทะเล ชอบมาก พีคสุด ทุกห้องเห็นวิวทะเล แต่ดีสุดแบบไม่มีต้นไม้บังคือห้อง A3, A4 ตอนเย็นต้องทานอาหารที่ครัวของโรงแรม เพราะเดินทางออกไปหาดอื่นลำบากนิดนึง อาหารก็อร่อยดีแต่ราคาค่อนข้างแพง มีบาร์เปิดถึง 3 ทุ่ม มีมุมเล็กๆนั่งอ่านหนังสือ มีหนังสือดีๆให้ยืมเพียบ อาหารเช้ามีให้เลือกสั่งเป็นเซท เราสั่ง ABF อร่อยยยย ! พอสายๆ คลื่นก็ยังแรงอยู่ แต่ก็อยากดำน้ำเลยขอชูชีพ กับสนอคเกิ้ลลงไปดำดูซักนิดก่อนกลับ แต่สู้แรงน้ำไม่ไหวจริงๆ ไม่กล้าไปไกลจากท่าเรือเลย แต่ยอมรับว่าน้ำใสมากกกก ปลาตัวเล็กตัวน้อยเยอะ ถ้าอากาศแจ่มใสคงได้ดำน้ำเป็นชั่วโมงๆแน่

Bungalows en pleine nature avec vue sur mer

Hôtel composé de Bungalows situés en pleine nature près de Mango Bay (Nord de l'ile). hôtel très calme, accessible avec le bateau de l'hôtel. le personnel vient vous chercher pour check in/out gratuitement et vous emmène au port deux fois par jour gratuitement mais retour à 15h. attention les photos de la Vila Jasmin ne correspondent pas forcément aux photos sur internet (bungalow catégorie sup.) Hôtel pour couples ou personnes qui souhaitent le calme et qui aiment la nature. Personnel serviable
