Another fantastic stay at the Baan Haad, they are constantly renovating the resort and its rooms so everything always looks so fresh and modern when we come each year. The staff are fabulous and the restaurant is lovely. For us, there’s no reason to look at anywhere else to stay in Samui.

Great vacation

Great location, a bit noisy since a lot of renovation was ongoing. Our first choice Villa was under renovation so we got upgraded to a better Villa. Breakfast was fantaatic. Only negative part was when the sealevel was high you couldn't walk on the veach to the main beach area. Great drinks and happy hour twice a day.

This place is beautiful and right next to the ocean. Breakfast was included with our stay and was beyond what I expected. Each morning you can eat right next to the ocean. The service was also amazing and the greeted us with a welcome drink and carmels. It’s pretty close to Chaweng beach and there is the taxis that drive by constantly if you don’t want to walk. The room was also spotless and they cleaned our room everyday and left us new water bottles to drink.

The staff at the hotel were lovely and the communal spaces were very nice. Great gym too. However, our first room was horrible. Upon entering, the room was nice, good amenities, but it smelt and felt damp. Then, in the night the toilet started to emit a foul smell, and in the morning the shower had filled with gross coloured water and went on the bathroom floor. When I spoke to the hotel they initially tried to get me to pay to upgrade my room, but after declining and requesting a refund for the rest of our stay if that was the only option, we were moved to a similar room which was much nicer and had no issues. The weather had been terrible so this might have contributed to our issues, but I think we should have been offered to move rooms straight away.

We had the pleasure of staying at this resort on the last day of our vacation, just before our return flight. I must say, it turned what could have been a disappointing trip into an unforgettable experience. One of the best resorts we've visited: Room: We chose the beachfront villa, and it was a perfect decision. The villa was new, modern, spacious, and impeccably clean. The bathroom and private pool were just as impressive—an absolute dream! Staff: The staff was extremely kind and always ready to help. Special thanks to Pan Cake, Kwing, Eing, and Kin for their exceptional service. Massages: We enjoyed in-room massages, which were incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to our stay. Pool, Beach, and Sea: The infinity pool overlooking the beach was picture-perfect. The beach and crystal-clear sea were equally stunning. The tides created sand islets in the bay, offering a unique and peaceful experience, especially for those who enjoy long walks during low tide. Water Activities: The resort offers canoes and stand-up paddle boards, with jet skis available just a short walk away for more adventurous guests. Olivio Restaurant: The Italian chef, Fabio, made sure every meal was a delight. From the international breakfast to the delicious pad thai at lunch, and the Italian dinner with octopus tagliolini and pizza, everything was superb. Our only regret is that we could only stay for one day. Despite the short stay, this resort truly saved our vacation!

Check-in was very smooth, the staff were kind and attentive which made our arrival pleasant. We had two adjoining rooms on the top floor, which was a great location for one night before an early morning flight. However, there were some issues with the opening of the doors between the two rooms but eventually it was solved and we were given keys to our respective sides. The room was mostly very clean and nice. Balcony doors did not close properly (gaps between doors) but locked so it was ok. For a longer term stay it could’ve been a tad annoying. Beds were clean and comfortable albeit a bit too soft for my liking but this could’ve been solved by asking for the mattress topper to be removed - I am certain that it wouldn’t have been a problem at all. Plenty of towels, appropriate amenities and sufficient amount of water was provided. The only small criticisms about the room were a pair of dirty socks underneath the bathroom sink in a corner, perhaps not noticed when cleaning, and that between the doors that connect the two rooms had not been cleaned in a long time resulting to quite a bit of dust. I found the room a bit noisy in the evening as people walking around were talking loud but this wasn’t a problem at night. Previously I stayed in one of the villas and that was very quiet. Overall, pleasant and refreshing stay with smooth ride to airport. Would return.
