There is a reason privacy of resort has that name, it is in a quiet part of the quiet side of Koh Chang. If you want to stay somewhere lively, with nearby bars restaurants and tattoo parlours, stay on the west side. Privacy is family-run, six very pleasant bungalows around a lovely swimming pool, all set in a beautifully garden. You will need some sort of transport to get around, motor bikes are available here at 250baht per day. There is a very lovely place to eat which grows coffee a short distance away, five minutes on the motorbike or 15 minutes walking. There is also another place to eat which claims to be organic, which is busier - for no good reason. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to koh chang.

Great Stay

This location was great and on the more relaxing side of Koh Chang. I wish we would have found it earlier because the hosts were amazing, the view was great, and the individual rooms were very nice.

Horrible experience

Located on a main road next to latex farms with a horrid stench, this establishment has little amenities, the room was unclean and infested with insects, owner sprayed insecticide in our room, refused a refund, yelled and insulted us in front of other guests. Avoid this place at all costs.

Bungalows TB mais situés dans la partie est de l’île, assez loin de tout .Mais bien quand on a une voiture La patronne de l hôtel thaïlandaise est charmante mais son mari néo-zélandais parle trop , essaie de vous vendre des activités à un prix exorbitant alors que vous pouvez les trouver bien moins ailleurs

Die Besitzer Steve und Lili waren äußerst bemüht,unseren 2 tägigen Aufenthalt bestens zu gestalten, nette Bungalows, alles sehr sauber, gutes Frühstück. einzig die Lage an der Durchzugsstraße (nicht viel Verkehr) ist ein sehr kleines Manko. Trotzdem haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

I booked Privacy Resort because of the good reviews...and I was not disappointed. The location on the quiet side of the island really suited me. Steve and Lily are excellent hosts...Breakfast is good and mini bar is stocked well and excellent prices...the pool looked very inviting...I stayed for 5 nights...was so busy exploring the island on my bike that I rented from Steve...I didn’t get to go in the pool. Steve has exceptional knowledge of what to do on the island and is a very genuine and great man. Steve and Lily are great people...I really enjoyed my time at Privacy Resort and will come back. Beautiful Bungalows on the quiet part of island

1) the Bungalows look really nice and are prepared with everything you need for your comfortable holiday 2) Steve and Lilly are great hosts! They are really friendly and give you information for any activity you can do on the island 3) we really enjoyed the location of the Bungalows. The Eastern part is so quiet and there are not many people. When you sit outside of the bungalow in the night, you can listen to the sound of the jungle which feels great. No humans around you, just nature! Thank you for that great days without paying much money :)

Couldn't ask for more!

Steve and Lily were absolutely amazing hosts. They provided us with anything that we could want or need during our stay with them in Koh Chang. The first night that we arrived to Privacy Resort, it was getting late in the night, and we were welcomed by Steve and Lily with tiny delicious bananas. YUM! They helped us get settled in AND even offered to take us to the nearest place to get food (they were getting dinner anyway and we were starving. They are really nice people. They educated us on the neat things to do in the area (for tourists, as well as what/where the locals go). Lily taught my fiance and I how to say thank you and hello in Thai - which helped us out tremendously during our 2 week stay in Thailand! They provided a great breakfast for us everyday - I highly recommend the fruit and rice soup! Delicious!! With this being our first time in Koh Chang (first time in Thailand), Steve and Lily were available to answer any and all of our questions and were so incredibly helpful during our entire stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good vibes and great service! **Also.. make sure to get the banana chips from the nearby coffee shop - best thing ever for 20 baht. Thank you so much Steve and Lily for everything! We had an amazing time and would definitely come back to your resort if we go to Koh Chang!

Wonderful stay

Stayed for 2 nights, it was our first time on the island. The owners Steve and Lilly were very helpful, giving us advice on good restaurants and beautiful beaches to see. We stayed in the deluxe double room. It was very clean with a large fridge, tv, awesome wifi and good a/c. The bed was a bit hard but all the beds so far on our trip to Thailand have been hard. It had a nice outdoor sitting area perfect for having coffee in the morning. The pool was well maintained and very refreshing with chairs around for lounging. Breakfast was very good, with choices of scrambled eggs or pancake with fresh fruit. It is located on the quiet side of the island so you will need to rent a motorcycle to get around as there is not much very close by.Steve even has some there to rent. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others. Thanks Steve & Lilly.
