Eden below Kirkoswald The trip on the River Eden from Lazonby to Armathwaite starts with a placid section between broad floodplain fields. The left bank, opposite Kirkoswald, is a low-lying flat area enclosed by a broad sweeping bend. Occasional trees line both banks, but the river is wide enough that none provide any sort of hazard this early in the trip.
