The best part was the host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. As we arrived, he plucked fresh passion fruits from his garden and made juice for us. "Danu's homestay is the real experience. 5 star service with many smiles. If your looking for an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, this is it. Sigiriya is a beautiful little town and Lion Rock is a must do. Get up early to beat the crowds and heat. It opens at 7am. We hired a scooter but Charu the father will drive you if needed. The family are absolutely loving,kind and generous. Make sure you have dinner with them. One of the best meals I've had in Sri Lanka. Now for the suprise...

"We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quiet, located in a lovely garden setting set back from the main road. Our hosts were very helpful, arranging transportation to the World Heritage Sites and a local dance presentation. Hosts will prepare breakfasts and dinners. The dinners we ate there were excellent. Best food in the area. "

"This property is in the middle of nowhere so there it comes the magic. I can’t complain about slow and poor wifi or power issues since this isn’t a hotel but a home stay. The family hosting is among the best people you could ever meet, very attentive with guests and providing an excellent service and serving a tasty land grown food.
