「Had a superb three night stay at the Westport Coast hotel in October. The location is simply superb, on the quay, looking out over a few boats and the bay beyond. Worth specifying a room at the front, just for the view. Accommodation is also excellent, in my view faultless. The restaurant is on the top floor with a conservatory on one side giving views towards Croagh Patrick: we caught a stunning sunset and three atmospheric mornings. Food is great. 「We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay with this wonderful hospitality team. Yes, the lodge is in the middle of nowhere but that’s the point. Plenty to do in the countryside or within 15 minutes drive, and wonderful food awaits you upon returning. Not sure we’ll ever make it back, but encourage you to spend at least one if your Connemara nights by the cozy fires at the Lach Inach Lodge. 」

「Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase....
