Duisdale House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We arrived late, they were just about to wrap up serving dinner. Manager said just sit at the bar - have a drink and eat your dinner first then we will take care of the luggages. They took our order and served us delicious steaks, wine and then helped us with our luggage. They did all this smoothly and naturally, which made us feel very welcomed. Breakfast was great, not elaborately large spread, but enough of each category to meet our 10 veggie and protein intake targets effortlessly and delicately. Overall we couldn’t be happier and left very satisfied with the service, food and our clean, large cottage. If we come back to Highland Scotland we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone also."
Chlachain Inn
10/10 Excellent
"10 hotels in 10 nights all over Scotland and the Clachain inn was by far the best. Lovely room amazing food and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a great night."
Morar Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Recent remodel so room was modern, warm if you liked, and full shower. Staff was very friendly. We had the curry for dinner. Very good."
Sligachan Hotel
8/10 Good
"Great hotel in a gorgeous location next to Sligachan Bridge with beautiful views! The hotel has a great restaurant and bar that we really enjoyed and the food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly in the hotel and the restaurant. Room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Only negative is the hotel was under construction while we were there so that was a little unsightly."
Kinloch Ainort Apartments
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most wonderful stay! Location was perfect with incredible views of the mountains, waterfalls in the distance, lake and sheep grazing right outside our yard. Peaceful and relaxing. Close to Sligachan bridge, and 30 mins away from Portree. Loved our stay here. Selection of coffee was nice in the morning and full kitchen to cook our own breakfast and dinner. Hosts were warm and friendly and even allowed us to use their laundry to refresh halfway on our trip, thank you! Recommend booking for multiple nights to really appreciate being so close to nature. We will be back."
Eilean Iarmain
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel. Food was incredible and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. It’s not as conveniently located to everything on isle of Skye, but it’s much more quiet"
Glenbrittle Youth Hostel
8/10 Good
"The room is nice and clean."
Toravaig House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very nicely presented property with most helpful staff. Our best stay by far on Skye"
Anneth Glamping Pod
10/10 Excellent
"The Anneth Glamping pod is a cozy hut set at a diagonal to a private home close to the Armadale ferry port and Armadale Castle and Gardens. Despite being next to the owner’s home, it is very private as the opening faces a beautiful ocean and hill view. The owner, Colin, is very responsive and helpful but respected our privacy completely. The hut itself is organized very well with a cozy bed, two comfortable armchairs, a modern television and small table. The kitchenette is sufficient with a hot plate, microwave and kettle. The shower is large and comfortable. The little hut wastes no space but on sunny days there is an attached deck with seating and the spectacular views. We found it comfortable for two people but it is not especially spacious. Down the road a short walk is Cafe 1925, with delicious food on from Thursday - Sunday. A few steps beyond is an inn with a cozy pub and a nice dining room. It is close to Armadale Castle and Gardens which is worth a visit as the gardens are lovely, the ruins of the castle are interesting but the Museum of the Isles is the highlights with tons of information on the history of Scotland and the Isles. There is also a nice cafe there. Anneth Glamping pod was a great place to spend our first two days on Skye. It is a good value and the “vibe” is so nice, largely due to the owner’s care given to the design and his friendly welcome. The view is also something quite special."
