"Just a lovely place to stay with great staff and friendly atmosphere. This is a “proper” castle - built 900 years ago. We ate at one of the restaurants and had a lovely meal. Gardens have several walks including a long walk through local woods which we enjoyed."

"We had a fantastic stay. The staff and the service were exceptional. Food in the Oak & Anvil bar was delicious, followed by cocktails overlooking the gardens in The Conservatory. The self-service breakfast selection was also excellent. We highly rate and recommend this hotel."

"Quirky from the outside but nice inside. Comfortable and clean. We were in a room next to the pub so we didn’t have any noise except from guests using the hot tub and they quieted about 930. Only issue we had was it was warm so we wanted the windows open but the staff used the space by our window ..."
