Liked the breakfast provided with a cheese omelet. Very friendly proprietor. This motel is in a quiet area of town. This is no longer a Rodeway Inn--it is called the Royal Inn.

Not very happy. Expected one type of hotel got something else. Room is extremely crampped with to much funiture in the room for the size. It was very depressing.

Check in was exhausting as the clerk spoke limited english. The whole building was permeated with the odors of onion and curry. The door to the room appeared to be forced at one time. 3 drawer dresser was completely missing a drawer and of the 2 remaining drawers, only one drawer had a handle. The bath tub drain would not close for a bath. Overall i would not recommend this establishment to anyone

Disappointment

The hotel was not clean. The carpet was torn. The toilet ran continuously. The sofa was broken and dirty. The pillow cases had stains. The bed was comfortable. The continental was not next to nothing. Nothing fresh.

The water running out of my faucets in the sink and the morning after our first night was the color of coffee. Same with the water in the toilet. When I asked the clerk at the front desk for another room, I was told all the rooms had the same problem and it was a city problem, not a hotel problem. Then was told to - “just run the water and it will clear up.” 1/2 hour later the water wasn’t running clear and it left behind a nice layer is sediment. When I reported the clerk’s solution didn’t work and asked for another room, my request was again refused. Finally decided to go to another hotel for the rest of our stay, then had to argue about a refund for the next two nights because we didn’t cancel within 24 hours of staying there. We pointed out we planned to stay there, but we couldn’t shower or brush our teeth in the room provided and the establishment refused to give us another room. Again we were told the water was a city problem, not his. Btw, when I showed pictures to other patrons I passed in the hall, they told me their water looked nothing like what was coming out of my faucets. Also there were rooms listed on the website as available for that night, so we could have been given another room.

Do Not Stay Here

Do Not stay here!! Bed was uncomfortable, towels were dingy, shower curtain was stained, rooms smelled musty. Carpet was torn and dirty. Outlets were overloaded. Things in the room were broken (I.e. hairdryer), hot tub has been out of order for months (but no sign), free breakfast was almost non existent.

The cleaning crew was very friendly and okey and very helpful. The room though needed attention to such as broken faucet handle, no cable , no closet , no iron very old and needs updates on carpet .

The building smelled of mold, the cable wouldnt work and when we called the office they said there wasnt anything they could do. They wouldnt even come and help. The table top wasnt secured and everything we put on the table fell off and some of our stuff broke. The vending machines didnt work. When we waited until 930 am after the pool area opened to get in the hot tub it wasnt working. The general cleanliness of the room was very gross.

There was very little with which to like about this property. The bedding was OK, though a bit stiff (I know some people like different levels of comfort here), but the kicker was not this. It was multiple items, including a lack of claimed amenities, breakfast was extremely poor, and the room had many flaws. To go in more detail about each: -room... --power socket near sink was blown out (black "ash" around top socket) --bathroom overhead light lacked cover, exposing the inside cannister allowing for dust and other air particles to collect inside (...fire hazard?) --it appeared as though mold (black mold?) was collecting on the top rim of the shower lining and around the shower hanger and shower spout -amenities: --the same white vehicles were parked in the under-hang of the luggage drop off area, closing off any convenient unloading or loading (from what I can gather, these were the owner's vehicles) --ice machine was out of order (looked quite dilapitated) --pool/hot tube were closed for the season (if this was the case, this should have been updated on the booking website) --breakfast - website said "Free Continental Breakfast", but what this consisted of was sugary cereal & milk, and then sliced bread with peanut butter; one morning there was no milk available and then the other morning there was only a few slices of bread remaining Needless to say, this was a far cry from what I was certainly hoping for my small family. Some of these things I hope are quickly fixed.

This is probably the worst “hotel” I’ve ever stayed at. This is truly a roadside motel in desperate need of an update. The towels were stained. The room was extremely small. There was an extension cord attached to the bed. The carpet was disgusting. If I would’ve paid $59 for the room I wouldn’t mind but I paid much more than that. It is very close to Mt. Rushmore and that is the ONLY positive thing I have to say about it. The air conditioner was basically non existent. I would’ve opened the window but I was too scared. The room across from us has damage to the door where it had been prayed open. Do Not stay at this hotel!

Poor Condition, friendly staff

Staff was friendly but the hotel itself is in poor condition. It smelled awful, there was black hair left in our bathroom, vent didn't work, window was disgusting. Breakfast had minimal options but the smell of the place bothered us the most. You get what you pay for but for close to $150/night I expected better.

No one should stay here!!!

Everyone very definitely unhappy very dirty and room was totally disgusting!! Hot tub was not working and dirty pool was cold and full of salt will not recommend for no one and asked for a discount for being so dirty and said no if I had somewhere else to go I would have pissed with this stay
