The lady on reception was very friendly and informative. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were really nice with all usual amenities. The bed was very comfy.
I’ve ben stopping on and off for a couple of months while working in the area.
This is a great place to stay rooms always clean with decent heating that you control yourself..!
Friendly and helpful …
The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that the restaurant did not serve English food!

Please put plug in socket near the bed to connect laptops and phone charging.
Currently there is no facility like that meaning, you cant work whiles relaxing in bed.
Other than that, the room is clean and spacious.
Thank you
Stayed here many times and the room is always spotless and has all the usual amenities, fridge, safe, fan, hair dryer, electric wall heater, tea and coffee tray. Always comfortable. Staff very friendly.
Friendly reception lady, room was clean and quiet, no breakfast or place to eat, all was a drive away and most takeaways we found nearby were cash only so arise to research this before going otherwise parking was fine and stay was fine
A good overnight stopover. Looks like ex-Travelodge building. Good facilities; Clean, comfortable bed, good shower, tea/coffee provided, even a hairdryer, fan and safe. Very friendly welcome at check-in.
Clean, comfortable spacious room and nice, good value restaurant next door.

Disliked: Room comfort
the floor is wooden and people below hear stamps of feet. Mattress were springs and noisy. Location is awkward and didn't feel like in a hotel. There's no restaurant to the hotel and adjacent events centre is detached too.
The hallway to the rooms is hardwood flooring meaning you can hear everyone walking to there rooms and when they get to there rooms you can hear the doors slamming which isn’t great when you have work the next day and if that doesn’t bother you having the room above you stomping around at midnight due to the flooring being very hollow and you can even hear people talk should just about ruin your nights sleep…

Rushed 140 miles to see ill parent. Booked and paid for this hotel at very last minute on evening of that night. Ended up spending the night at hospital bedside, didnt even get to hotel. Having paid we then got email from hotel wanting ID (had none with us, so question if booking actually completed). Hotel wouldnt refund or credit our payment.

This hotel was ideal for the sole purpose of what was required. Putting our heads down for the night! The location was ideal in terms of road access and a quick turn either way took you to two towns/villages.
The rooms were absolutely fine. Plenty of space, and a good layout. The bedbase was rather noisy so was quite loud if someone rolled over or got up for the toilet.
The ensuite was grand with a powerful shower and all that was needed.
The welcome was pleasant and the check in process seamless. The lobby was fine if a little dated. There was a drinks and snacks menu at reception which was nice. You could then sit outside on the patio looking at the countryside.
The big issue was the attached restaurant was closed meaning no breakfast could be served. This could be a game changer for most however it didnt affect us as we went out for breakfast or popped down to M&S which was less than a mile down the road. Something to think about right now though as it doesn't look like the place will be opening anytime soon!
Overall, the hotel could be doing with a little updating. The room and bathroom doors are old looking, the bedbases, the ceiling lights. All things that distract from the good of the place.
We had no issues over the two nights and as i said, served the purpose of having somewhere to put our heads down.
