「Do NOT book this property. ​ We booked a stay at Spencer Bridge By AFL for July 25–26, expecting a smooth experience. 「On arrival, we were shown to the "penthouse", a twin room on the third floor. The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. The toilet adjacent to our room was ok but we were told that the shower room was not usable so we had to use one on the lower floor (which was for several other rooms). My partner...

「Decent on paper, disappointing in reality. The room looked fine in the photos but fell short in person. We were on the ground floor and arrived to a strong smell of cigarettes - the throw blanket had a burn hole in it, suggesting a previous guest had smoked despite the advertised £100 fine. There was pink staining on the shower floor and the only chair had a broken spindle on the back - when I went to move it, the top rail separated entirely from the remaining spindles and I had to pop it back...

「I stayed on my own there for 2 nights for a golf tournament I was playing in locally. The room was comfortable and clean with an en suite toilet, wash basin and shower. It was very warm in the room but a fan was provided which helped. There was a full sized fridge with small freezer section, a microwave, tea and coffee making facilities and supplies of both. There were also some plates, bowls and cutlery. I stayed in the room both evenings but looked on Google maps to find somewhere to buy food....
