Great location and price

The staff was friendly when we checked in and the room was clean. Loved the roll in shower. Breakfast was very good and had enough choices to pick from. Location was great since we came for a show at the Toyota Center. The price was $133. This hotel is not modern but we were ok with the room.

THE ROOMS SMELLED LIKE DECOMPOSING FLESH LITERALLY. I AM SENSITIVE TO SOME STRANGE THINGS BUT, THIS PLACE MADE ALL OF THE HAIR ON MY BODY SYAND STRAIGHT UP. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO THE GRIMM REAPER. MY PARTY AND I CHECKED OUT LESS THEN A HOUR LATER. WE TOOK A LOSS OF ALMOST $300.00'S. WE BOOKED A ROOM AT THE COMFORT SUITES IN KENNEWICK AND HAD A WONDERFUL STAY.

Hotels.com mistakes

Our room had no microwave although hotels.com said there was one. We also didn’t get the room we booked through hotels.com. I paid for a double queen and the hotel tried to put us in a handicapped king one bed, based on what hotels.com had sent them. The hotel was awesome though and got us a room we wanted. The staff was great, mattresses were a little hard but everything else about the room was good.

Property was fairly nice and clean. Check in took some time as it took some time for a front desk person to appear. Then they told me my reserved room was not available (had reserved 2 queen beds) so offered me an “upgrade” to a king plus sofa bed. Online it lists the sofa bed as a double. It was not. It was a twin. For my family of 4 (2 teens) it was extremely uncomfortable to have 3 in the “king” which actually was a queen bed. I had reached out to Expedia CS but all they could offer me was a refund. I would’ve taken The refund but with softball and gymnastics events occurring in town it would be hard pressed to find what I needed and requested of this hotel. I’m not sure if it was Expedia who is at fault or the Marriot but it has made this stay uncomfortable and very very disappointing.

The stay and room were fine; however, due to limited staffing the last two times we've stayed on New Year's Eve/Day the morning breakfast was severely lacking. This morning our choices were cold cereal, bagel/english muffin, oatmeal, and what appeared to amount to about half a cantaloupe. No other hot food other than oatmeal. No bacon/sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, etc. I understand that businesses are short-staffed and employees deserve time off, but as a paying customer/guest expecting the hot breakfast included in the price of the room, I would think that management would step in and ensure that the guests are taken care off to keep them returning.
