「On entering the hotel you will be met by warm and inviting staff. off to the left of the reception is an insanely stocked whisky lounge but prices are on the steep side for you average dram. There is a 24 bar located en route to the rooms and an Aperol was £18!!! scandalous. 「I would normally say nothing rather than write a bad review but this place was so bad - the room in particular, the fact that no one cared and it showed , the lack of maintenance or bothering about customers , i think other guests should be aware. We could have put up with having to search for someone to check us in, the dirty carpets, battered dirty paint work, incredibly slow service , being made to feel an inconvenience for having dinner ( food was nice when we eventually got it) and not...

「Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing.」

「Pub was dated, and our room had a shower/toilet in a pod, so read the small print when booking. The pod was extremely small with little room to manoeuvre and the extractor fan did not work. Also music could be heard in our room from downstairs. The positive is the shower was warm, the staff extremely friendly and the breakfast good. Also the local clientele were warm, friendly and welcoming」

「Lovely, friendly staff. We had 2 dogs with us and they were welcomed very nicely. The food in the restaurant was very average, although breakfast was excellent. We had a king sized room, which was in my opinion very small. The room was very hot, a fan or air conditioning would be something to consider? The bed was comfortable. Having 2 reasonably large dogs, negotiating the upper floor was relatively difficult.」

「There was a large party downstairs (floor below) on the Saturday night we stayed there. Music from DJ was very loud and pounding/felt in our room until after midnight preventing sleep. The Restaurant was unavailable due to the party. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room on this property when the downstairs facilities are booked in this way.」
