Place is being updated as we stayed, very clean and modern, no coffee or tea machine in the room for money charged, , breakfast is not included, in the room, but next to rail station, very convenient transportation which is really nice, something that I did not like was tax charges pernight that was not mentioned when booked, but over all is a great place and location

Easy and convenient to travel to hotel, if you have Deutschland ticket! And then the ride to Strasbourg center is less than 20 min via the Tram D line right in front of the hotel. Check-in was cordial, and the room was clean. Bed was too soft for my need (back hurt a bit). Breakfast was very well organized with good taste and presentation.

An excellent option for a stay in Strasbourg. Just metres from the border. Tram access (D line) to all points in Strasbourg.Parking limited but very handy. Good base for visiting Strasbourg.

Enjoyed our stay at the Ates Hotel. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Room was also very quiet, with window shutters that blocked all the light, so slept well. Breakfast was good, with plenty to choose from. Service upon arrival and during stay was excellent. Hotel parking was ok and parked without issue. Used as a base to visit Strasbourg. There is a tram stop just across the road from hotel with trams running constantly to and from Strasbourg. The hotel reception sells tram passes that are great value.

Older hotel but great location, breakfast great

This was a location in Kehl that we used to explore Strausboug. Super convenient location for the tram. Hotel was busy and while basic - did meet our needs. Rooms were very simplistic and worn- they had seen wear. But they were clean. Breakfast was included and the options were way above average. Very nice. The neighborhood was less desirable- next to lots of tabbaco shops and just did not feel great walking around. But we choose it because of easy access to train and that area felt safe.

The good : The hotel is very close to local public transport both trains and buses. Also close to several restaurants and Coffee shops. The breakfast was good with a variety of options to get you ready to start the day. Size of the room was adequate and the bed comfortable with clean sheets. The bad : Mainly two things , 1. The parking area is only available for a very few cars but they advised us to use the train station free parking across the street. 2. We reported a foul odor coming from the bathroom but they couldn't accommodate a room change and addressed the issue with only a fragance spray. We were not happy with this .

Kehl - Belgium/France 2024

Our stay was excellent. It started at the reception, with friendly, helpful and informative personnel. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, with Refrigerator to keep our drinks cool. The only thing that did not function was the remote for the television, so changing channels had to be done by hand. The hotel did attempt to fix the problem, yet it still didn't function right. We received great information about the Tram to Strasbourg, the stop is just across the street, as well as must see sights in Strasbourg. In addition, the hotel is just a short 200 meters from the Kehl city shopping and pedestrian zone filled with stores, shops, bars, restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops. We are planning to visit Kehl and Strasbourg again next year and will be booking the ates Hotel Straßburg in Kehl for at least 3-4 nights. We did not partake of the breakfast buffet, since we wanted to experience the local flair.

Nice and clean hotel near the German-French border. The tram to go to Strabourg was just outside the hotel and it was convenient to visit Christmas market. Beds were comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
