This was a wonderful rural retreat. We really loved our stay here. The hospitality is beautiful and so welcoming, the food is yummy, and the location is so pretty. 10/10

Lovely family run hotel

I loved my stay; it was a lovely family-run hotel. I highly recommend it and would happily return! The family that runs the hotel greeted me with open arms, and it was one of the highlights of my stay in Nepal. 700-800 NPR taxi to Thamel, and 1000 NPR to the airport as reference.

My friend told me about this place and I stayed at the hotel. Unlike the hotel in Thamel, this hotel in Kirtipur had clean air, nice scenery, and a calm atmosphere. The meals prepared by owner's wife were very delicious and gave me a good memory of my stay in Nepal. I am happy to come here when I stay in Kathmandu!

Enjoy Countryside with great view

Fun place! Nice family on hill outside of the city. I enjoyed the quiet area and wonderful views and fresh air, family style meals with nice variety and good conversation. They understand how to adjust for tourist diet and preferences to help you be more comfortable. That said, it is not a luxury accommodation, rather it is a taste of village life with some of its rough edges.

My stay at Green Eco Resort was way beyond my expectations. My host Shekhar and his family invited me for breakfast and dinner daily and since I traveled by myself I could learn about Nepal and local culture. Shekhar and his daughter took me around Katmandu to learn about history and tempels. I can give best recommendations for his resort for anyone who look for a less busy place then the crowded center of Katmandu

We originally chose Green Eco resort for the beautiful location away from the touristy towns and business. We were blown away with everything that came with it, Shekhar and his wife Kalpana were amazing hosts and with such a warm welcoming family they made you feel at home. The rooms were lovely and spacious with amazing views looking at the fields framed by mountains in the distance. They have a roof top with gives you access to a lovely morning coffee view and great for the many photos you'll want to take. For breakfast and dinner they took us in and Kalpana with her amazing patience and kindness showed us how to cooked delicious dishes. Shekhar had lots of tips and advice for our upcoming trek and settled any anxieties we had. I cannot recommend this place enough and am grateful for the hospitality and kindness of Shekhar and his family.

Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, good English, beautiful part of Nepal. I plan to go back.
Nearby cable car UpTo the mountains.
Whole area is well-looked after with good roads, plenty of room and hotel's lovely garden You can sit in bed and look at the mountains!

The green eco lodge was a fantastic way to start my Nepal trip! Located outside of the major city center it was a peaceful spot to get some rest and recover from my long flight. It’s a bit hard to find but the host was extremely patient and helpful making sure me and my party (coming at 3 different times from 2 different places) were all picked up. Our host and his family made us feel absolutely welcome. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed, helped arrange taxis when we needed to go to town and helped us book the next leg of our trip to Pokhara. The home cooked meals were delicious, fresh and affordable. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean with a nice view over the fields and into the city.
