"Excellent hotel! Clean tidy comfortable and well located. I arrived late at night and the lovely lady in reception was kind and helpful. Also explained that due to the hotel being fully booked my room had been upgrade (this was a lovely touch) The room was fab large bathroom and very comfy bed and bedding. The bed was actually made as well. I have found over the years german hotels leave the quilt folded at the bottom of the bed and 2 singles for a double bed. Breakfast was nice althougj did lack bacon and sausages! But the fresh made waffle iron was great, the make your own fruit juice was good as well. Seating was plentiful and staff very attenive. A short walk over (through) the old city wall and you ate very quickly at the altstadt markt "

From the variety of hotels we stayed at during our whole trip, this hotel's breakfast was tied for number one. The proximity to the old town gate was so helpful in maximizing our time in the area.
