In the middle of the Hunza Valley, Karimabad is a locality of another time. Alexander the Great arrived there and his legacy is still present today. Many Pakistanis in this area have blue or green eyes, like the Macedonians who once accompanied the conqueror.

One of the best autumn one can experience anywhere in the world and it is in Hunza. The image captures one the highest peak in the region, Rakaposhi (7788m - ranked 27th in the world) covered with clouds at the sunrise time. We had a wonderful stay at Offto. Its location was quiet, yet accessible to the local village. We cannot praise enough the staff at Offto, as everything we requested was attended to immediately.
