The shining star for this excellent resort was the staff. This resort was clean and the food was excellent. But the real star of the show was the outstanding staff at the resort. I have never had such polite and helpful people at a resort. Any negative areas that this resort has is more than made up for in the quality of their employees. I will return to this resort in the future.
Nice room, everything clean & working nicely. Amazing view from room. It's a more classic Bali design, not a modern design but everything worked nicely, good Wifi. Room had terrace overlooking the ocean with a dining room table and lounge area. Amed is a quiet area, but a solid choice.
Lovely property on a hill with fabulous views to the ocean. Do yourself a favor and get the villa. It has a lounging area and a dining room table with million dollar views to the sea. Are there a lot of stairs? Yes. So it might not be for everybody. But, you can WhatsApp them with your dinner order and they'll bring it right up to your patio table. Is it far out from the main town? Yes, but you can rent a scooter or get a ride into town. If you want to get away from the crowds, this place is for you. Do you dive? Or want to learn? Baliku works in tandem with Adventure Divers Bali for all your diving. They are a professional, first-rate dive operator, with amazing local dive masters to take you to all the popular dive sites. And they pick you up from the hotel each day and drop you back off. What could be better?
Amazing location looking over the mountains and ocean. Great food, lovely staff and beautiful pool area. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to escape for some quiet time. Snorkeling and diving is epic and just on the hotels doorstep.
Ubeskrivelig fantastisk ferie.
Overall a nice stay. Property could use a little bit of work and the power lines running 1m over the pool are a bit disconcerting. It was end of dry season and local inhabitants were running chainsaws nonstop during the day. Not the resort's fault of course, but a consequence of the location. Very friendly staff, beautiful views and the room itself was pretty awesome.
Lovely, clean stay at Baliku Dive Resort - which is a nice step above the mostly dingy backpacker accommodations in the rest of Amed. While the lobby looks like it’s in need of a re-fresh, the rooms were clean and had beautiful ocean views. Beware, there are MANY steep stone steps - both to get up to the lobby and to get to the rooms. The staff was lovely and the food was good. Would definitely stay here again.
Baliku Dive Resort is situated in a quiter part of Amed away from the centre. We stayed in a villa and were very happy with everything. The room and bathroom were very clean. The views from the terrace were exceptional and the day beds a great addition to the outdoor area of our villa. The pool was big and clean and there were many sunlounges. The restaurant served great breakfast and we enjoyed the Asian section of the menu. The staff were friendly and attentative. There is not much to do in the area except of snorkeling but we liked it because we didn't feel guilty relaxing all day long.

Ok
Ok hotel, needs refurbishment especially the bathroom. Expensive for the area. No restaurants or shops nearby so we are every evening here, nice food but bit expensive for Bali. Had x good time here, very clean but wouldn't stay again as it doesn't provide good value for money, felt like we were ripped off a bit

Ok hotel but pricey
Enjoyed our stay. Very good staff, very clean rooms. Fantastic views and our room was nice but the bathroom is very 70s and should be better considering the amount we paid. Nothing walking distance from hotel so we ate here every night... Food ok/nice but expensive by Bali standards. I think we paid too much for what we got but did enjoy it so hence the mixed review! Diving school which is part of hotel is fantastic

The hotel is built on a hillside, just across a stony beach. So to access the rooms, one has to climb steep stairs. Not suited for OLDER guests, who may find it difficult to go up and down. Otherwise, great service and food. Very accessible for boat rides into the ocean for snorkeling etc. Great views of the ocean from the rooms. About 3 hours from Bali Airport. Good for a quiet 3-4 day holiday. Cheers.
Before we write this glowing review, two things you need to realise:
1) Baliku is 2hrs 30mins from the airport.
2) Banyunin, the village that Baliku is in, has a pebble beach i.e. the beach just outside Baliku's door is pebble. However, if you walk just 5-10mins around the corner northwards, you can have a lovely small sand beach to yourselves. You just have to scale down a makeshift, overgrown path and scramble back up it when you're done.
So...
The Hotel is amazing: Room beautiful - plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids; breakfast superb - especially the black rice pudding; food generally excellent; the swimming pool is so lovely; but it's the staff that really make it. They were just so very kind and helpful. You really get to know them and learn about their village and culture. The village is just next door too.
The pebble beach has the sunken Japanese shipwreck just off the coast which is spectacular. The snorkelling is generally amazing. The sea is clean, coral is huge, fish are plentiful.
There are good restaurants at both the Kawi Karma bungalow place on the beach and Eka Purnama next door to Baliku. Made on the beach will do you a good deal on snorkel rental. He's a lovely guy.
You have to go 2 1/2 hours but it's so worth it because what you experience is much richer.
