I arrive just before the hurricane. The staff was absolutely incredible doing all they possibly could for us. I had to extend an extra day and they accommodated me bending over backwards I could not be more pleased and impressed with the staff in particular, especially at reception.

The property is really nice and it’s centrally located. The pictures on the website look exactly as they do in real life. The views are spectacular, the pool overlooks the ocean. There are multiple dining options, and the food is really good. You also have access to free beach chairs and umbrellas that you can take on excursions. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay was very nice! All of the staff were VERY helpful and just AMAZING!! This was one of the biggest things we took away from our trip! Customer service is so important. The only negative thing is the hotel does need a little more of an upgrade. Obviously an older hotel resort. The food was mostly overpriced so we found ourselves eating outside of the resort most days. Overall we enjoyed ourselves, it was a comfortable stay but realized that the price didn’t meet all of our expectations.

The location is great. Right by the beach, centrally located to all the attractions. Pool and pool area are great too. The rest in my opinion falls short of the 4 star, $500+ per night (with all the taxes and fees) hotel. I would give it 3.75 stars but there is no such option. Some areas are dated. You can tell the hotel tries to maintain them by painting stuff over but it shows. For me the worst were supply and return grills for the A/C unit. Very dirty. We actually had been turning the A/C off as much as we could so we would not breathe in the dust!! Thankfully the wonderful ocean breeze helped :) Breakfast buffet is decent but it falls short of the Marriott's standards. Some more daily variety would be nice.

The only thing was that the 'beach' nearest the resort is not swimmable (mostly rocks)-however we, walked further up and there was actually sand, but the beach looked unsafe with a visible drop off in ocean--but it was ok for a nice stroll--just not too far from hotel. Make sure you let hotel staff know at check-in if you want your room cleaned (which we prefer..)--especially if you have beach activities what with all the sand, showering and change of clothes. Otherwise, they have everything there and staff was really attentive. We would definitely recommend. The food is really good for room service (after a day of kayaking & hiking--we even ordered from nearby Dominos on one night!
