We have stayed here several times and this was the most disappointing cabin we have ever been in. It was dirty and damaged. We know they generally do an excellent job so we will visit again. Always great staff.

The cabin was very homey it definitely was a great camping expirence bath house was near by and neighbors were spaced out so nobody was around each other and made everything great. The pool was great each of the lakes and the staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay

Liked that it didn't cost an arm & a leg for our Jack Russell to be able to stay with us in our cabin. Everything inside worked real good except the wall heater but the dehumidifier kept us warm enough a few nights. We reported it to the front desk person but the message must not have been delivered to the right person? Everything was clean inside & no bugs. People at the front desk were friendly & helpful also. The drain in the shower needs replaced because of sharp metal in the drain could really cause a deep cut to toes. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay @ Basswood.

We are a semi-retired couple in our 60s and stayed in one of the Deluxe cabins for a week; my wife was attending a conference in KC on three of our 7 days. Apart from being on the landing path for the KC airport, Basswood is much quieter than most campgrounds are in the evening. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the management is making good progress on improving what was a previously-neglected property. I expect there will continue to be good strides on that. Our cabin was comfortable and on a dead-end spur, so there wasn't any thru-traffic. There are also many RV and trailer sites (including pull-thrus), hotel rooms, tent sites, and suites. We had our dog and one of our cats with us, and they did fine there. We used the pool, pickleball courts, disc golf course, dog enclosure ("park" is a little overstatement), and our fire ring, kitchen, and screened porch. The store is very well stocked in both variety and quantity. Definitely try some of the great ice creams. Free coffee is available in the store/office.

Our cabin was on the end of a lane, right on the water, up close with nature. A symphony of frogs at night. Bed good, TV good, plenty of high pressure hot water. We were glad we brought folding chairs, used 'em on the deck and by the fire ring. There was a small picnic table.

Me and my family absolutely love this place he my husband have three kids ages 6 10 and 12 we try to go at least once every year the staff is amazing they treat you like family so much fun activities from the time you get up to the time you go to bed. There was an incident on this last day of ours with neighbors they were rowdy and there was issues the staff immediately got involved and those individuals that were fighting each other were removed from the property very quickly the following warning management asked me my family if we were able to get any sleep or rest after so they wanted to make sure we were well taken care of
