Excellent !

Suite aux excellent commentaires , nous avons réservé 3 nuits a la Villa Nuova, ce fut une agréable surprise ! La guest house est très bien entretenue, très beau jardin et calme . La chambre et salle de bain sont propres et fonctionnelles. Mention spéciale pour Alwis (propriétaire) qui est au petit soins pour ses invités. Il est de très bon conseil et chaleureux. Si vous êtes de passage à Kandy , arrêtez vous à la Villa Nuova! Tony & Jennifer

Very high class villa with superb views

It took me over 8 hours to ride a motorcycle from my hotel in Negombo to this hotel about 120 kilometers away because of the difficulty of finding it. As the room I rented was already taken I was assigned a large room with 4 beds without overcharging. There were four single beds in a very large room rented normally at $ 70 with a large bathroom and a balcony. There was also a 32-inch LC TV with TV5 World. Panoramic view of the Montagen diner in the sumptuous family dining room and breakfast in the garden. Excellent family welcome to me. I highly recommend this villa for its comfort and friendliness. Some dogs barking at night. A friendly advice to this charming family. The bathroom lacks a glass to wash your teeth, a soap dish and a washcloth. A blanket only on request as the nights are cool in Kandy and better mattresses would be recommended for a longer stay without back pain.

Misadvertised! Please read !!!

First Location is not as it is showing on Hotels.com or Google.com, it is far off. I wouldn't book it if I would knew it is that far. Second, it is not a hotel, it is a homestay! I don't book home stays (just my preferences). Owners were sleeping in next room to mine. Third, my room should be "room with a private bathroom", and I had to SHARE my bathroom with two other rooms/families. I wouldn't book it as well. People who lives there are nice. BUT i would like to get what is advertise on hotels.com and it is not the case!

Great place in the green

This accommodation was the best we had in Sri Lanka. It is located on a hill above Kandy, but you can get easily to the city by TukTuk. We paid between 300 to 400 lkr to go to the city. The rooms are clean and you really have everything you need (even a TV, we didn't used). If you want the very friendly host family will cook you an Sri Lankan or Italian dinner which you can choose. Breakfast you can have in the garden. Go ahead and book, it is a new and really great accommodation. We will stay there again!
