"Clean room. Excellent hotel "

"The room was very comfortable, and had adequate space, though one bed was pushed against the wall. Lots of helpful amenities. There were various refreshments in the lounge through out the day, which was nice. The onsen is small, but fully equipped. My only complaint was that there was a very bright light on a motion sensor in the entryway, and there was no way to turn it off. If you got up in the night to use the sink or toilet it came on blinding you (and anyone else) in the room. We found a creative solution, but there should be a way to turn the motion sensor off. "

"Great hotel. Very quiet. The location is wonderful right next to the train station. The train station has wonderful shopping and dining. You could spend hours in it just discovering all it has to offer. We walked to the castle and gardens. It is a ways but doable. It helps walking off all the yummy food. "

"Staying here was amazing - a very good ryokan for the cost, it wasn't bougie but it was still amazing. The room is a good size, the futons and comfy and the view with the garden is excellent. Also, the staff were lovely, she spoke amazing English and was very friendly and helpful. She even had a map printed out showing what is in the nearby town (i.e. where to eat. laundromat and public transport). This was extremely helpful and showed that the staff care about our needs, and also walked us to our room. The public bath was amazing as well. "
