It is 15 min drive from the center, and many restaurants and a night market is about 5 min drive from the hotel. My room (premier suite) was huge and was sitting on the edge of the sea. At the balcony, I could hear waves, and could see fishing boats. And every morning, many hornbills visited the hotel restaurant. The staff members were friendly and very helpful. 「Like many here said, this hotel it’s ok if you just want a place to sleep. The pillows should be replaced with new ones already, since the one I received were very thin and clumpy. Sound proofing is poor, as first night we kept getting woken up by seemingly drunken guests (the hotel is surrounded by bars/pubs). I’ve stayed in other budget hotels which were comfortable, but I can’t say the same for Sam Hotel. 」
