「Quiet and quaint during an early march visit. I think we were the only people staying there! Pool was great, and our room was right on the lakes edge. 50meters from the ferry terminal. Perfect if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful but don’t expect much more than the perfect base to explore the island」

「The hotel is bordered by the lake on one side and virgin forest on the other. I took 3 marvelous meals a day and the evening meal had a roaring camp fire. Staff were superb. A boat trip organised by the manager was wonderful, many lake birds, families of monitor lizards and a flock of african grey parrots! Rooms clean, food good, drinks cold, assistance with travel, infact assistance with anything. What more do you want! 」

It's not a beach as it's on a lake, but the surroundings will make you believe you are. The staff are amazing, kind, thoughtful and will do their best to ensure you have the best experience. 「Amazing place to stay in Kalangala. Such a comfortable and clean place to stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful. As we stayed during the week we had the place to ourselves. Pool area was lovely. Food was delish! The forest activities were a lot of fun! It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature as well as the views of Lake Victoria! 」

「I stayed 2 nights in a Mirembe cottage- my friend had the cottage next door and we had a dedicated outside eating area, from where we were served our food.We were served by James who was consistently courteous and efficient .We felt like film stars on a tropical island as we ate delicious food sitting by the lake watching a wide variety of birds - it was just such a treat!」
