The air-conditioned lodges were very nice with an outdoor sitting area for each one. It was convenient to the Yellow River cruises when we visited in April. The main pool was noisy and meant for families, while there was limited seating at the smaller, quieter pool. The main restaurant, Mimi’s, served wonderful food for dinner, but the hot breakfast there was outrageously priced. At the outdoor restaurant, the food was just ok and they took advantage of the remote location by charging us $18 for a pint of beer. The Margherita pizza had no basil on it, just the dried herb. Staff at the shop/tour kiosk were very nice, although our room wasn’t ready at check in time and we had to chase down the staff member who had promised to call us when it was. Overall though, a good place to stay in Kakadu.
