I had a great stay at Tomeru Hostel. The location of the hostel is superb, off street enough to be quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to the tram station to access everywhere in town easily. Gotta climb four storeys to reach the dorm but staircases are an every day thing in Japan anyway. It was raining almost daily when I was in Kagoshima, but a variety of umbrellas were provided for our use. I especially loved the subtle light music that was put on every night in the common room. Shoko-san, Tomaru’s soft-spoken owner, is an absolute dear. She helped me practise my faltering Japanese language skills and were always willing to answer any questions I have about anything. I slept in a room with 4 dorm beds where everyone was kind and considerate. On my last night in the hostel, two fellow Japanese room mates and me had a fun chat using a jumble of Japanese, English and Chinese. Was very grateful for everyone’s patience with my poor command of the Japanese language. I have never spoken so much Japanese in one day and it gave me a tremendous sense of accomplishment!

料金以上の宿泊施設です。お金のない学生としては、安くて安心で完璧でした。お話もしてくれるし、一人でも寂しくなくてよいです。また鹿児島に行くときは利用したいです。

またゆっくり来たいです。

突如思いたった鹿児島旅行でこの宿に出会えてよかったです。まちの世代交代のひとつのかたちを見た気がしました。今は昭和でも平成でもなく令和なんだな、と。なんか抽象的な表現ですが、とにかく素敵な思い出ができました。実際泊まってみて実感してください。ノープランの方にはオススメです！オーナーまだ若いのにすごい。朝が早くてお会いできず残念でしたが是非、ここを起点に活躍してください。応援してます。

Je suis un boulet T_T

Super séjour à l'hôtel tomaru, la manager est adorable, nous sommes arrivés plus tôt que prévu elle a bien voulu garder nos bagages le temps de visiter la ville, on nous a dépanné deux parapluies car un typhon passait assez loin de kagoshima mais suffisamment près pour être trempés, et la manager est descendue porter les bagages de ma femme jusqu'à notre chambre, super gentille. Le soir après le check in j'ai voulu laver mon linge mais c'est encore elle qui l'a fait (contre 200¥) elle me l'a ensuite apporté à ma chambre avec de quoi le tendre. Nous sommes sorti jusque tard le soir, on a décidé que ce serait une bonne idée d'aller grimper jusqu'au parc shiroyama à 23h pour ensuite rentrer à pieds, résultat, j'étais épuisé sachant qu'on arrivait de yakushima ou on a enchaîné les randos en montagne et que le voyage en lui même était fatiguant, tout ça pour dire j'ai pas entendu le réveil et la pauvre manager qui attendait pour nettoyer notre chambre, j'ai dû la faire attendre, elle est restée malgré cela fidèle à elle même souriante et agréable, et comme si ça ne suffisait pas les poches de mon pantacourt n'ayant pas séché je l'ai trop approché d'un radiateur pour pouvoir le mettre le jour même, les poches ont pris feu et j'ai failli cramer la guesthouse qui heureusement n'a subi aucun dégât, encore une fois, la manager a été très compréhensive avec moi, toujours est il que j'ai honte et je suis un vrai boulet -_- En tous cas l'endroit et les gens sont super, foncez y!

일본 스타일의 게스트 하우스! 색다른 느낌

덴몬칸 근처로 접근성 좋음. 보통의 게스트하우스와 달리 내부는 나무로 되어있고 분위기 또한 매우 차분함. 전반적으로 안락함을 추구하는 게스트들이 묵는듯 함 굉장히 조용했음. 사장님 또한 매우 친절하고 필요한거 챙겨주시려함. 하루쯤 묵어보기에 충분한 가치가 있음

친절하신 젊은 여자분이 혼자운영하는 게스트하우스인데 조용하고 아주 깔끔하고 깨끗해요 도미토리치고 방도 넓구여 위치도 페리항과 덴몬칸 모두 가깝고 정말 좋구요 모든게 완벽한 호스텔이엇슴니다 저녁엔 제게 가고시마어묵을 대접해주시기도 했어요^^ 다음에 가고시미또갈계획인데그때도여기묵고 싶어요!

階段を4階まであがるのが大変だった。荷物の量によってはあの、4階まで上げなきゃいけないような場合は厳しそう。 そのほかはキッチンやお風呂など、古いけれど生活に保たれている感じがしました。 paypayとかなんらかの電子マネー使えたらいいな。
