「Rooms, lodges and restaurants outstanding. Food was wonderful. Our server at the Barton Grill was brilliant! This is a 5 star property and overall lived up to that. We had an issue with vouchers that were purchased for us as a gift. One staff at the golf course was somewhat...aloft...ok, curt but rest of staff and hotel staff were great. I do feel were somewhat shorted on the vouchers and left a sour taste.」

「Very dirty room and bathroom, stains on the carpet, dust on all the cupboard surfaces, makeup prints and marks in bathroom and on bathroom door, hair on a pillow. Just overall poor effort from housekeeping. Breakfast was poor, as a Coeliac the gluten free options were awful. Breakfast stations were not very clean and nothing was covered, there were lots of flies so food should have been covered.」

「The setting is lovely and the walkable locality and village amenities. We must have booked the budget room though instead of the advertised "deluxe", first floor courtyard, old stables. Room was fairly grubby, area behind the door hadn't been cleaned forever, shower tiny, bedding and towels clean but quality poor and only 1 skinny little pillow each? Our problem though was we arrived at tail end of heatwave and asked for a fan or something but apparently any available had already been given...

「Our room was very clean and the reservation staff were very accommodating. Room was very spacious. We left before breakfast but had breakfast included in our rate- they offered to make us a breakfast bag which consisted of a sandwich, snacks and.drinks. They took our order and asked for a time. Come morning it was not ready at the time we had asked so it made us late as we waited an extra 15 mins. It was not the sandwich we had ordered and no snacks. The sandwich was quite good.」
