"we were disappointed in the look/feel of the room we stayed in: the furniture was marred and soiled, there was no decor, the bed sheets didn't stay on the bed, the heat/air was noisy and sent air gushing out---all in all, not a nice vibe---were looking for a more comfortable stay--there was no breakfast: there was no one to cook; we went to a small cafe on the property that served food that you might get at a mini-mart---in plastic containers--yogurt with canned fruit and broken bits of granola bar on top--biscuits/gravy was slightly warm and unattractively served the staff who helped us were kind and nice--there was little they could do to 'fix' our stay"

"Checked in at 12:30 am and received our key card. We walked to the room which was in a different annex of the hotel, we unlocked the outer door, walked down the hallway which was on the first floor, approached our door and noticed it was open a crack, and the tv was blaring. We knocked on the door, no answer. Then opened the door to find there were pillows on the floor, the bed was obviously slept in and the tv was blaring. We immediately left, returned to the front desk and asked for a refund, which we were denied since we booked through a third party sight, Hotels.com The clerk at the front desk was confused about how there could be someone in that room, but yet unbothered enough to not go check it out. Kinda felt like a scam. Like possibly she knew she overbooked it.... I was traveling with my 2 young daughters so we filed a claim and left."

"This place was amazing overall. I would have given it 5 stars, but the customer service from the woman who answered the phone was disappointing. Whenever I called with questions, she was consistently short with me and occasionally came across as sarcastic. It often felt like being polite was an inconvenience. I understand that everyone can have an off day, so if it had only been my experience, I probably wouldn’t have mentioned it in a review. However, during my stay, a firefighter who was there for training was trying to check in and ran into a simple misunderstanding. I helped him get in contact with the office using my phone, and unfortunately, the woman was very rude to him as well. Considering these firefighters are training in preparation for the potentially severe wildfire season ahead, I was honestly surprised by her tone and the way she handled the situation. The issue was eventually resolved, but the interaction left a bad impression and took away from what was otherwise a great experience. On a positive note, the gentleman I spoke with was friendly, helpful, and informative. Overall, the facility itself was excellent, but the customer service from the woman answering the phone kept me from giving a full 5-star rating."
