"From the moment our team stepped into Waterfront at The Glacier, we were treated with impeccable service at every turn. The staff were incredibly attentive, anticipating our teams needs before we even had to ask. Our room was clean, boasting stunning views of the waterfront as well as high-end amenities that made us feel at home.
Overall, this is was wonderful hotel that gave our team 5-star experience - a perfect blend of elegance, comfort, and outstanding hospitality."
Very helpful, obviously in midst of a major remodel so some things in hallways and entrance still work in-progress, but room was very comfortable and clean and had a lot of features for the traveler, including space, refrigerator, microwave, basic dishes and utensils...and very helpful
The property is currently being renovated and updated. My room was very tastefully decorated including live edge desk, nightstands and sink. When renovations are completed throughout it will be a top hotel in Juneau
The property has been renovated and the rooms are modern with wood accents and back lighting. The shower felt so good, especially after a full travel day. Absolutely loved the room. Very clean. The staff and manager were great. We had a sea view and enjoyed stepping out onto the balcony for the amazing view. Highly recommend.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Property was under construction but at no point did it feel that way. Walking distance to the high school where I was attending events. Affordable and clean. Only negative was the trash can in the room being full on arrival and it would be really nice if there was a mirror outside of the bathroom.
From My Own Experience, a Hidden Gem in Juneau
I’ve traveled extensively and usually stay in top-tier luxury hotels, so I have high expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and service. While I tend to choose places with flawless reviews, this time, I trusted my instincts and gave Waterfront on Glacier a shot, despite some mixed past feedback. The recent praise for its renovations, stylish furnishings, and overall experience convinced me, and I’m so glad I took the chance.
From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The boutique-style charm, the scent of fresh wood, and the cozy atmosphere set it apart from generic hotels. Even the restroom flooring had a traditional touch that added to the authentic Alaskan feel.
Now, let’s talk about Zach. If there’s one thing that made this stay truly unforgettable, it was him. His customer service is on another level, friendly, responsive, and genuinely invested in making guests comfortable. He personally made sure we had rooms next to each other and was always ready to help.
A few things to note: The waterfront balcony view is stunning, but there’s some street noise. The hotel is still undergoing renovations, so there’s no restaurant yet, but Zach mentioned it will be ready by mid-May. The front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, but a quick call gets immediate assistance.
Would I return? Absolutely. This place exceeded my expectations, and thanks to Zach’s unmatched hospitality, it’s now my go-to in Juneau.
We were the first guests in the room while the majority of rooms were still undergoing renovation. The room was terrific! When the renovation is finished, this will definitely be the go to hotel in Juneau.
Wonderfully remodeled hotel. Beautiful furnishings. Nice to have a kitchenette, but we didn't use it. The hotel had just opened and they are very accommodating to our needs. We had a 1st floor room on the parking area and street view. It would be nice to have some vegetative screening from passers by without having to draw the shades.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
I stayed at the hotel in July 22nd and the whole place was being renovated (I got an email letting me know that the day after I arrived, so, it was not helpful). I decided to stay, the room was fully renovated: new bed, new doors, new floor, everything new, very modern and confortable.
By the time I left, the lobby was looking better and the place was not full of gravel.
I totally recommend the hotel, just contact them to know if the renovations are done.
The property was under construction. The walls were so thin the road noise and other occupants were loud. Unsafe with only a single key lock and no further lock inside the room. GM was very nice but could not make up for the property condition.
The bathroom has not been cleaned properly. There was someone else's hair in various spots in the shower. The front desk person was friendly if you could find them. They're regularly not at their post. You enter your room from the outside, so it was more like a Motel than a hotel. Adding to that, it appeared like there were more local people there than out of town guests, at least where my room was. The person next door was smoking weed, and the odor wafted over to my room, along with very loud domestic squabbling. The property itself, from the outside was not well kept, which added to the "Motel" feel of the place. My room was clean except for the hair on the shower walls. There was no hand soap, and the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel canisters were empty. Thank God there was dish soap in there, so used that to wash my hands and shower with. Would not recommend.
We had booked this hotel for our last couple of days in Alaska. It was more than we wanted to pay but the location was good so we booked it thinking it would be worth it for the last part of our trip. When we arrived the hotel was completely under construction. They had zero business being open. We would have gladly gone to another hotel but at that late date nothing was available. We were stuck staying at this hotel. We were greeted by a really kind manager who said they were hoping to be fully open but were behind schedule. The saving grace was he was very nice and welcoming. We were basically the only people staying there and the construction went on until 7pm our first night there. We went in to town for several hours and when we returned we were locked out. My husband had to walk around to the very back side of the hotel to find the manager. Our toilet ran all day and night. The rooms are potentially nice in the future but right now the floors were still super dirty from the construction. The manager said he would give us a really good deal but when we went to pay he had only discounted us $60. We had really expected at least half off for the condition the place was in. We were told an email went out to tell us the hotel was under construction but we never got that email until the day after we had already stayed there. It was an extremely disappointing way to end an otherwise great trip to Alaska.
