I absolutely LOVED my stay at Carter Creek!!! So much so that I became a member and I will be a repeat visitor. The staff was attentive and friendly from the front office, to the spa, to the restaurant wait staff, to the housekeepers.
I absolutely loved being surrounded by butterflies while drinking my morning coffee or wandering the grounds.
My stay was just after the devastating Kerrville flood, and I loved that Carter Creek had set up a benefit within days of the disaster to financially support the victims.
The only thing I found disappointing was that no microwave was in the cabin. I am used to always having access to a microwave during a stay. Maybe the one for my room was broken and had just not been replaced, but no microwave was a disappointment.
A tip for the property: please update your online booking/communication concerning the spa. We booked a spa session online, but never received ANY type of confirmation that our booking request had been put in the book. Had we not called the spa to try and schedule, when they then told us they had us down, we would have been charged for the service as a “no show” which would have been terrible. However, because we called to talk to someone a mishap was diverted. I’m just glad we are “double-checker” people.
Overall my stay was amazing and I am so looking forward to visiting again in the fall!
(A 4 instead of 5 was due to the communication issues with the spa and no microwave in the room. It was still a wonderful experience.)
