We selected this hotel primarily due to the importance of parking for our truck. The breathtaking view from the balcony and the exceptionally helpful and attentive staff were also significant considerations.

This family run hotel was an excellent experience for me. The owner went above and beyond to provide all that he could to make sure that I had a good stay. Beautiful area! I fell in love with Jardin and its perfect climate. I highly recommend this place to all travellers. The breakfast was exceptional and served with great care.

The room was lovely ... the essence of simplicity, which is absolutely perfect for Jardin. It's location within easy walking distance of the town's center is wonderful, with a lovely view of Jardin from the third floor.

A Hidden Gem in Jardín! We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Macao! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The hotel looks like it came straight out of a magazine—every corner is beautifully designed and incredibly picturesque. Everything was spotless, and the staff made us feel like family. Their hospitality was exceptional, and they were always happy to recommend tours, restaurants, and the best places to visit around Jardín. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and featured a modern bathroom with a great shower. Breakfast was included each morning, and it was fresh, delicious, and a wonderful way to start the day. The location is perfect—close to everything while still being peaceful—and the value for the price is outstanding. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Macao to anyone visiting Jardín!

We loved our stay at Hotel Macao. It's a lovely property run by very friendly people. The breakfast was amazing, with fresh fruits, eggs, arepa, cheese, etc. The shower had hot water. It's the best hotel we stayed at during our time in Colombia!

This is one of my favorite places I've stayed in Colombia. The location is perfect, since it's right next to some lovely hiking, and a quick walk into town. Everything was clean and comfortable, and Dora, the lady who runs the place, was so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious each morning. And bonus points for having a cute dog on the property. I'll absolutely stay here again if I come back to Jardin!

J'ai passé un très bon séjours dans cette hôtels, le lit était bon, la chambre propre, et surtout les propriétaires sont adorables, toujours très sympathique et prêt a vous aidé. Ce sont des gens biens, qui vous font vous sentir à l'aise. Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de tester la piscine.

I work in the tourism industry and have stayed in a million hotels- I can confirm that this property is an absolute gem. It’s a very traditional property with so much character, I loved having the balcony to enjoy a coffee in the morning and Dora, the owner, was so helpful in getting coffee and horseback tours booked on a very tight timeline. I highly recommend the coffee tour with her brother-in-law as he is so kind and the view is incredible. (However, you must understand Spanish for the tour!) The pricing was very reasonable and she coordinated the travel for the coffee tour as well. The room was so clean, very relaxing and after coming from bustling, noisy, hot Medellin, my stay in Jardin was the most refreshing. You wake up to cool temperatures and birds chirping outside the windows. Not to mention, there is an adorable pup Tommy, who greets you every time you return and helps show you to your room. I really did not want to leave, and I cannot recommend this enough!

We recently stayed at the Hotel Macao in Jardin, and had a Wonderful experience. The proprietor, Dora, is a gracious, thoughtful and helpful hostess, and she made us feel more like we were guests in her home than just in a hotel. She kindly arranged for a room with superb mountain views and balcony for us. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms have large windows with amazing views of Jardin on one side, and fields and mountains with horses on the other. Downtown is just a short walk, as are the waterfalls and trails in the other direction. The interior courtyard hosts breakfast, made by Dora, and each chair is uniquely painted by a local artist. The breakfast is hearty and a great way to start the day. Dora knows the area very well, and is happy to help with suggestions, calling a tuk tuk or cab for you, or to suggest something you might like to see. I have only good things to say about this hotel and the lady who operates it, hope to stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel with real local charm and character, was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and with such views that if you are just too tired to go out another day, you don't feel you are wasting a vacation day just sitting on the balcony and watching the clouds flow over the mountains.

Our stay at Hotel Macao was wonderful! Its location is very near the town plaza yet away from bars and restaurants making it very quiet. Great views of the town center from the top floor hallway. But most importantly, we loved our stay because of the hotel owners - the couple that runs this hotel and their staff are some of the nicest and kindest people we have met during our travels anywhere. Breakfast is good too. Good water pressure and comfortable bed.
