The room was clean and very open… loved having a balcony. The reception desk employee (Kyle) was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool has an excellent vibe. The Perch restaurant was excellent. John our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and great sense of humor . We were there celebrating an engagement and he took the time to go out of his way to make them feel very special…. Thanks Chicken Ranch for a great first time experience… didn’t disappoint!!!

Rented 2 high end valley view rooms 6th floor. Checked in at 4. Gave us One very nice view room. The other a room 2 floors up overlooking employee parking lot and two utility buildings that people yelled and banged equipment all night. Room had mold smell to it. Asked for another room as described. Told need to wait for one to be cleaned. Waited 3 1/2 hours. At 7:30pm finally called. No compensation or even free check out offered. They couldnt care less.

It is a large hotel/casino at the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas near Sonora CA. It is a great stop location for those on their way in or out of the wilderness looking for a nice place to stay with entertainment built in. It is also good for those looking to stay at a nice place while exploring Sonora and the surrounding area.

I will never stay here again. The rooms and the pool were nice but… I got there at 2 pm and they charge me 75.00 for an early check in. I expect that in Vegas when you get to the hotel early in the morning and check in is at 3:00 in the afternoon but not at a casino in the middle of nowhere and it is less than two hours til check in. Also, the night club was so loud it kept me awake well past midnight and I was on the 5th floor!

I visited with my family over the long weekend and loved it. The property is very well maintained, and it's clear they've put a lot of effort into the interior design. The game floor did feel a bit crowded, but that was probably due to the holiday weekend. One thing that really stood out compared to other casinos is that this is a smoke-free hotel, which makes it feel much more family-friendly. The pool area was clean and well cared for, and my kid absolutely loved it. I also appreciated the dining, even though they're somewhat limited. We ate at The Perch Rooftop restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The quality and service were much better than expected. It is pricey, but worth it. There were also a few drawbacks. Poolside service was very slow. We waited over 1.5 hours for some orders and eventually had to cancel. At times, the front desk was also unattended, and we had to wait for someone to show up. It would also be nice if they offered more family-friendly activities or amenities. Overall, despite a few service issues, we had a great stay and I would definitely return.

Newer place, but horrible service... After 2 nights of no maid service (even with the sign outside) I had to visit the front desk... (they didn't answer the phone) because we needed the trash/towels replaced. Even then they sent someone and they did half of the room. Seriously, one bed was made, and the other wasn't... towels were refreshed, but no vacuuming. Slow service at the Restaurants (Which are overpriced and poor quality for the price it's worth driving into Sonora for dining). Place wasn't even half full and it was 45 minutes for 3 simple plates. Table next to us with 4 burgers waited nearly an hour for theirs... and others told us it was "normal". Also they love their tablets in their rooms (don't take them out of your room they make you sign a document that there will be a $600 charge if you do), but have a lot of bad data on it. There was a "spiked" menu at the coffee bar listed, and yet when we went there during that time, we were told (a it rudely) it was a coffee bar, not a real bar. Even when showing them a picture of the menu from the tablets. While clean at first, did notice trash in the elevators and such at the end of day. Also when there was a spill they'll put out a sign, but you'd be back 30+ minutes later ans still see the spill sitting there.
