"We stayed here when passing thru Virginia to head to South Carolina - This is an older hotel but very clean and good sized room and bed was comfortable, air conditioning set just right. We especially liked the continental breakfast spread set up by Pat and conversation with other friendly staff. Pat has been working here for 30 years and said new owners planning renovations. Parking was convenient next to the hotel with east side door entry. We did not get a chance to explore downtown, but hotel is located across from the performing arts theater - art deco and historic buildings nearby with various shops and some restaurants that we saw as we drove past. Affordable stay and we do recommend. "
"Very nice check in ladies at the front desk. Clean comfortable room, walk in shower. Working ice machines conveniently located, guest laundry with working machines. Air conditioning works fine. Not expensive but costs enough to keep the riff raff away. Good parking area."
"We loved this beautiful mountain inn. The room is spotless and well-appointed, with a splendidly comfortable bed. The front porch is a fabulous place to sit in a rocker and watch the world go by. The creekside trail is a lovely walk with picnic spots to use as desired. The outdoor hot tub is a joy to the senses and tired muscles. It's very quiet with Blue Mountain Brewery just 5 minutes down the road for good food and brews, also featuring live music on Wednesdays. You can also play billiards or chess in the game room.
